(I was being told by others that even as little as a meet’n greet would be at least a week out); He was quick, efficient, extremely knowledgeable, and highly experienced in his field!!; His price was 15%, Yes! 15% of the other quote I got!! I suspect the other quote was so insanely high because 1. that other electrician was featured on the Tesla site, and 2. it’s easy to scam someone who doesn’t know much about electricity – he was telling me I need all new panels installed etc. etc.). It certainly goes to show how valuable an honest electrician is!! Even after he completed the work, Charles showed sincere interest in my need for the outlet by doing further research and helping me charge my Tesla in the most efficient way! I have other projects in mind and I will not even remotely consider hiring anyone else!"

He worked quickly but job took over 3 hours to figure out problem with several outlets not working and a bad switch and unusual wiring in 1 of the outlets and to replace the faulty switch and a failed circuit breaker on the panel (the cause of the outlets not working) including a trip to HD to buy a new circuit breaker. On his recommendation we had him also replace 2 38 year old switches and the affected 38 year old outlets. He listened carefully to our description of the problem and explained his work and answered all our questions. The total bill was $378 which we felt was a fair price. "Marvin from Carvin Electric did an excellent job on my request to replace a couple of breakers (15amp Zinsco) on the electrical panel for my parents house. He also cut off the electrical source to the pool pump (parents used to have a pool) and removed the outlet for an old wall unit air conditioner. My husband requested the outlet removal and Marvin obliged because he said the wire to the outlet was live and would be a hazard (especially for my toddler kids). He charged a reasonable price for all three services (only the first one was planned) and the job didn’t take more than an hour.
