"After sitting through three 2 hour presentations from other companies I contacted Steve who provided an estimate through a few emails. I chose Zen for 23 replacement windows and I couldn't be happier with the results. The installers were fast and professional. The windows are high quality. They have made my house much more quiet and warm. Steve was a pleasure to work with. I had two minor adjustments made after installment and the follow up service was excellent. I would highly recommend Zen Windows for anyone looking to replace their windows!"

"Roman and Alex where great to work with. They where very responsive to any questions that i had. The window and door installers have had years of experience replacing windows, as it showed in their workmanship. The windows and doors I purchased where Sunrise Windows. You can see that they are well made and that the factory takes pride in their product. I will definately continue to use Discount Windows for the contiued replacement of my windows in my home."

"Jim provided excellent recommendations on what windows to use. <br /> We had them pre-stain the new frames. <br />  The installation team did the majority of the work over two days. The screen for the sliding glass door took a few extra days as the part was not shipped. <br /> Team cleaned up nicely after themselves, took care of all of the haul-away, recaulked the new windows, etc. <br />"

"There was a component that needed to be replaced. They had the part. They went so far as to check on my warranty status, and found out that I did indeed have a remaining warranty for replacement of the part and the related labor. This was done without the need for me to find my original invoice. I only had to pay the trip charge plus pull down/put back up labor."

"My cute little Mpls home had the original windows from 1905. Something had to be done, but I didn't want to pay thousands for all new custom windows, or ruin the exterior look with some ugly metal frames. SP Windows installed new, energy efficient storms that look exactly the same as my old ones, and weather proofed everything. They were expert, responsive, on time and efficient, at a much lower cost than for full replacement. My home is snug and warm, and I am a very happy customer!"

"Pat Martin is the owner/operator of this business. We have used him for several years now, replacing a much more expensive firm that used employees to do the work. No surprise that minimum wage laborers do not have the same degreeof commitment to quality as an owner/operator. So, wwhen you hire Martin Bros., you get Pat on the job. We have been delighted each and every time that we have used him. He cleaned our windows a couple of weeks ago, and, after that, he did my son's house and this week my daughter's.  <br /> My daughter's windows were installed last year and still had sticky residue from the manufacturing process. So, Pat had to take more time with his blade and Goo-Gone to remove the gunk before doing the actual cleaning. Now the windows are crystal clear and a joy to look out of. <br /> Another point worth noting: Pat is a very fine and honest person and family man. We do not hesitate for a moment in giving him the run of our house, even if we are away. That makes it much easier to use Pat than, say, a contractor with hourly wage workers whom we do not and really cannot know. <br /> To top it all off, Pat is a real bargain. I often have to tell him that he has not charged us enough!! <br />"

"We were very pleased with the work that was done.  From our initial contact with the business office to the completion of our project, all phases were handled professionally and promptly.  There was a last minute cancellation, so we were able to move our project up by almost two weeks.  All permits were handled, all materials were on hand, and the work was all completed in a days work from beginning to end.  The workers were prompt, courteous and professional.  We highly recommend the Egress Window Guy for anyone considering a similar project.  We were also able to submit our project on-line for an estimate for a discounted price.  Make sure to inquire about this option for your estimate to save 10% off the cost. <br />"

"Windows were installed perfectly, even in our old home. The inserts don't even look like inserts and we were able to keep all our old trim work for the windows we wanted them for."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Prior Lake, MN

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
