"Matthew was very quick to get back to me and get the job done right. I had a leaking toilet that was not seated correctly so it ruined the floor beneath. I had this issue fixed 3 times before. Matthew came out and replaced the flooring underneath it and now it sits correctly on the floor and no longer leaks. I would definitely have them come back if I had any other plumbing problems"

"I was smelling a burning smell coming from my engine, so I called Elite (we've been customers for about 6 years). They said their schedule was packed that day and the next, but they would fit me in where they could. They under-promised and over-delivered! They were able to take care of my car that same morning - it was finished within a couple of hours of me dropping it off! Turns out when I added oil to my car a couple of days before, I forgot to put the oil cap back on and the oil splashed all over the engine and the cap melted onto the engine (oops!). In addition to the great customer service and outstanding work, they are also great at explaining what the problem is with your car, but not making you feel dumb. As a woman, I appreciate that. They could've made me feel really silly for my mistake, but they didn't - they approached it like any other car problem. I have so many great stories about Elite - they are just fantastic. I've told them in person, but I want potential customers to know Elite provides excellent service at a great price! <br />"

"We highly recommend Josh & Jacob and the rest of the Independent Mechanical team! They did a great job installing central AC into our home. The work was completed on time, despite the grueling July heat they encountered in our attic. They were very neat and respectful of our property and the cost was reasonable. It was a very good experience!"

"Responded quickly and performed the service at a high quality in a short time. Very knowledgeable on what he is doing and is definitely worth hiring again. I referred him to other friends that needed plumbing work, and they were delighted. Overall, very professional service at a reasonable price."

"The service was excellent from the first contact through the completion of the job. <br /> The price was reasonable and very competitive. <br /> The quality of the job was excellent resulting in a very attractive looking chimney. <br /> They showed up on time for the estimate, I gave them the job on a <br /> Saturday afternoon, they called later that day and scheduled the work for the <br /> following Thursday morning. They arrived at 8:30 am on Thursday, and the job <br /> was completed by 1:00 PM. <br /> They were polite, friendly, and courteous. <br /> The old chimney was removed, and everything was completely cleaned up. <br /> When they left, you couldn't even tell they had been there, except for <br /> a beautiful looking chimney. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Don and his team were wonderful.  Work and clean up was completed much faster than I thought it would be. All members of Don's team were professional and courteous and took care while inside my home as to not damage my floors or walls. When a window showed up with a crack in it, Don replaced it immediately rather than installing broken material. I will definitely look to Don for any future construction needs that arise. I would, and have already, recommend A Plus Construction to anyone. <br />"

"Corbett and his crew were OUTSTANDING! We have a beautiful historic home that was built in 1855 and have been working to upgrade key pieces of our home, including replacing two furnaces and adding AC. Corbett has truly been exceptional and he is on our shortlist of first calls for work on our home."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Quaker Hill, CT

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
