"I can't say enough about this wonderful experience!! #1 The Sales process: His wife ** came to my home and instantly made my family feel at home. He was knowledgeable and focused in on the areas that I told him were my biggest concerns (Cost, value for money, energy efficiency, quality of the product). He answered all my questions, and I never felt pressure to hire him. Everything were done and more. Great Custumer Service"

"Chris Crooks was excellent to work with. From the moment he came over for the estimate to afterwards when trying to deal with my insurance company. He and his crew provided timely, professional, quality work. The pricing seemed very reasonable. My next door neighbor even commented how impressed he was with the way the crew was constantly cleaning around the perimeter of the home, making sure most if not all roofing debris was collected. Chris answered every question and concern I had about the job, as I've never had to replace any roofing before. Chris granted my request to take pictures of any bad sub roofing. He was available even after the job was complete to help me with insurance issues. I would highly recommend this company for any roofing needs."

"<p>The work started in the master bathroom.  We had a very 70’s blue tile bathroom that measured about 12’ x 4”. it could only accommodate one user at a time comfortably.  Attached was a large unused vanity room.  Dennis designed a new bathroom that offered a tiled walk-in shower, double vanity, closet for the toilet and a closet.  The fixit crew demoed the entire bathroom from floor to ceiling and in about 2 weeks we had a very spacious and modern master bathroom with all the bells and whistles of a modern high end home.  The shower was moved, the toilet was moved, ceiling vents were installed and vented outside, 6 new can lights including 2 in the walk-in shower, new tile floor and shower, new double vanity and AC vents were rerouted. The job was finished with a custom built stained double door and it created a very impressive entry into an entirely remodeled room. We are very very happy with not only the quality of the work but also the design concept Dennis came up with.  I should also mention that all the work was done in our bedroom.  The guys took the time and steps necessary to make sure it was cleaned every day so as not to disrupt our lives.  This was an A+ job in price, quality and the crews overall awareness of the fact that the job was in one of the most important areas of the home.</p> <p>Next Dennis, Mike and Tommy went to the other side of the house and began removing all the wood paneling. This was a big job.  4 rooms were remodeled from the floor to the ceiling again.</p> <p>In these rooms there was woodwork that was original to the house.  The crew carefully removed all the wood trim and reinstalled all of it without any damage.  very nicely done.  In the great room the Fixit crew installed (including wiring) 12 can lights, 1 ceiling fan, finished the drywall, refinished and painted the ceiling, installed new crown molding and baseboards, painted the walls and trim, installed blinds and installed nice engineered hardwood flooring. The same was done in the mudroom, mudroom bathroom and laundry room.  These three areas all had new heavy-duty vinyl floors installed as well as light fixtures, steel exterior door and frame, dryer vent routed outside, crown molding and baseboards installed, 4 light fixtures and new laundry room countertop with large stainless farmhouse sink installed. </p> <p>Once that area was completed the work moved outside where Dennis and the crew demolished a very old wood staircase at the back door and rebuilt it from the ground up.  The entire staircase with landing were built on sight with a extra step added.  That extra step makes a big difference.  While outside the crew rebuilt our crawl space access door and matched the board and batten on the siding. Again, nicely done.</p> <p>Dennis and the guys also installed a new guest bathroom counter top with two sinks and fixtures  and at the end of the job blew 10” of new insulation into the attic.  All told the Call MrFixit crew was here working in my home for just over a month.  I never had a single problem with the crew or the quality of the work. The scope of the work was considerable. The Fixit crew made our house into the home we now have.  It was worth every dime, was finished early and cost less than we had budgeted for.  Almost anything you would call a contractor to do to your home was done here.  These guys are true skilled tradesmen.  </p>"

"Mike with Skill Over Speed Carpentry was a pleasure to work with on my recent bath and flooring remodel. He really listened to what I was after and gave me several options to choose from, knowing that my budget was tight and his pricing was very fair. He communicated during every step of my two main projects and made sure I was happy before he wrapped up. He was very tidy and did a great job of cleaning up each day. The end results exceeded my expectations. The acrylic shower surround he installed in my master looks gorgeous and the trim work and flooring he installed looks crisp and clean. He also did some bathroom fixture updates and plumbing fixes for a house flipper that had left a lot to be desired. No more bathroom leaks!! I highly recommend Skill Over Speed Carpentry. I will definitely give Mike a call for my next home improvement project."

"I hired Rick and the crew from Veterans Roofing to replace the roofing on my home. From start to finish, it was an exceptional experience. When I first decided to get an estimate, I called and left Rick a message. Rick promptly returned my call. We discussed what I was looking for and we scheduled the date to measure my house for the estimate. Rick provided a comprehensive estimate of the job. His estimate was better the other two estimates I had received and then he gave a 10% military discount on top of it. So the best price got even better!  <br /> When the day came to begin the job, Rick and a full man crew showed up on time and ready to work. The team hit the ground running, immediately putting down tarps to protect my plants and bushes. This would also assist them later with clean up. While the crew was setting up, Rick walked around my home with me discussing the job, pointing out little nuances of the project and answering all of my questions.  <br /> The crew was great! They were extremely polite and considerate. The crew was always busy. I never saw anyone just standing around. Cleanup was a continuous process. Once the tear off was complete, the old roofing was loaded in a truck and out of the way. A member of the crew used a magnetic device to pick up all the nails in my yard and then picked up by hand any small pieces of shingle that may not have ended up in the truck. The crew on the roof was meticulous. In each area they worked in, I observed them snapping a chalk line to ensure the rows were perfectly straight and aligned with the area to the left and right. The crew worked hard until dusk, then made arrangements to be back the next morning to finish up the job. Again Rick was on site when the crew arrived. It was important to me to see his involvement in the job and oversight of the crew (leadership). In a few short hours the crew was done and gone, leaving me with a beautiful new roof , with an awesome cleanup job. <br /> I choose IKO architectural shingles for my roof. IKO provided many color options. I narrowed it down to 3 colors. Rick suggested Dual Brown to compliment the color of our house and my wife agreed. They look great! I am extremely happy with the difference these shingles make in the appearance of my house!  <br /> I will use Rick and Veterans Roofing for any home improvement project I have. I highly recommend you call Veterans Roofing if you want a quality job at a fair price. <br />"

"I found him on craigs list along with alot of before and after pictures of work he had completed. He showed up to provide me an estimate for installing windows...beating every other contractor by a considerable margin. He performed the work quickly and efficiently. We talked about future projects and he provided my prices, which I shopped around again and discovered he can not be beat in prices and he has completed more than 10 projects since then. His resume and pictures of his work speak volumes for what he can do. Look him up on facebook Robert Thompson (Fayetteville NC)."

"<p>Mr. Wike came over at the scheduled appointment time. He was very professional and courteous. He seemed to be knowledgeable about the work I needed done. He went over all the parts of the house that would need repair. He said he would write up and estimate and get back to me. </p> <p>I contacted Mr. Wike twice after he visited our home, left messages both times (I also believe I sent him a text message too), and I never heard back from him again. Never completed an estimate or returned any of my calls. </p> <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Raeford, NC

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
