"Windows were installed professionally and effeciently with care taken for floors due to the need for scaffolding for a large, high window. The quote process is quick, the custom order process takes a little longer due to the virus affecting manufacturing, but the install was prompt when the materials were received."

"It went PRRFECTLY!!! Mr Swinton and his partner were professional, worked with urgency to get windows replaced due to our security concerns and made sure to answer all my Dads questions. There were a few companies we looked into but none provided the attention to detail, not trying to sell us more than we needed and conducting business with integrity like Universal Windows Direct. I recommend Universal Windows Direct to every home owner I know because of the excellent work and competitive pricing. If you want the same experience, timely work completion, friendly, professional installers, hire these guys for your window replacement. They are the BEST in the business!!!"

"I gave SOS a call, we set up an appointment to have the windshield in my truck replaced at my residence. On the morning of the appointment, Matt gave me a call to say he'd be there shortly and then showed up promptly thereafter. The replacement went smooth and I'm no expert but I'd say he did a great job. I'd guess it took him over an hour to complete the job (which made it nice to be at home and be able to carry on with my own duties in the meantime). Both Matt and the gentleman I spoke with on the phone were very professional, friendly and thorough. The price for replacement was very fair. I'd highly recommend SOS Windshield."

"I thought that most of my windows had broken seals and had to be replaced. Steven Parisi came to my home to give me a quote. It is with pride that I say he looked at my windows said the seals were not broken. I couldn't believe there was a company that would actually admit that I didn't need their service. He was wonderful, polite and gave me the name of a company that could fix the one window that had a little break in the glass. I will certainly use this company if I ever need the services they provide. Thanks Steve!"

"We had shopped around and decided to go with Masterpiece windows. We had 13 windows replaced. The people who did the installation seemed top notch. Avery and Jason were very professional and just as important punctual. If they said they were going to be there at a certain time they did. They are proud of their work and aren't just trying to get it done. They want it to look good and you to be happy with it. The quality of the windows we purchased seems great but I'll have to update later on whether or not they live up to my expectations which my wife says are unreasonable most of the time."

"We needed to replace the siding, gutters, and downspouts on our 30+ year-old home. We decided to go with Raleigh Windows and Siding, not because they were the least expensive, because they were not. They we not the most expensive either, but Andrew’s communication throughout the process was great – not pushy, but explaining options, working with us on price, and making sure we were comfortable with our decision. Work started mid-October with complete removal of the old Masonite siding, the gutters, downspouts, trim, soffit, facia, etc. The siding was installed, caulked, and painted and the gutters and downspouts installed. Overall, our project took a bit over four weeks from demo to completion. We are very pleased with the way our home looks with a new exterior. The project went smoothly. The subcontractors were all exceptional and a pleasure to have working on our home project. I highly recommend Raleigh Windows and Siding."

"Very quick installation. We met to measure the windows, and there was no pressure to purchase. Once we decided to purchase from Mr. Cato, the order was placed and we had set an appointment for the installation.  The installation took roughly 1 hour for 13 blinds and 1 curtain.  Overall we are very satisfied and very glad we found CJ's Blinds on Angies List! <br />"

"Kelly Window & Door did an excellent job starting with the sales presentation all the way to the finished project and it looks spectacular. An added bonus was that every person who gave us a quote said that the existing shutters on the windows could not be saved and would need to be replaced. They were able to get them all back up and saved us the expense and hassle of having to tackle that at the same time as the new windows!"

"I would highly recommend Aluminum Company of NC. Several years ago, we had a large window replaced over the front door entry way. This year we noticed the window was smokey, called them up and sent a photo, window replaced no questions! They stand behind their lifetime warranty! After such great customer service, we just had all 19 windows replaced in our house. I would rate their customer service and installation team a 10! Showed up on time every day, cleaned away debris, and provided instructions on cleaning and care. Aluminum Company of NC thank you for great service. We love your new windows! R. Mangum"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Raleigh, NC

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
