He installed a monitoring device in the refrigerator and closely tracked its performance over several days. In total, he came back five or six times trying to diagnose and resolve the issue. His persistence and commitment were impressive. Eventually, I decided to bring in a Viking specialist, who determined that the cost to fully repair the refrigerator would exceed what I wanted to invest. I explained the situation to Ulysses and requested a full refund of approximately $1,100. Without any hassle whatsoever, Ulysses and Valley Handyman refunded the entire amount."

Happily the compressor tested good, he topped me off with Freon, make a few other tweaks in the equipment compartment, and now 24 hours later the ice cream is hard again. A little about Max - he's nothing short of a wizard, who knows his stuff inside and out, a rare find in these days of big appliance repair businesses that route you through phone trees and service managers. Max answers his own phone, and in my case provided a quick diagnosis and advice over the phone. And if he doesn't know the answer, he tells you upfront and then researches it out to find the answer. Once he takes your project on, he's in 100%. This includes followup calls to make sure all is OK. He's not out to sell you on a big repair bill - he's out to get your problem fixed as quickly and affordably as he can, and to turn himself inside out for his clients. "Plumber said it's a good idea to clear plumbing lines every 10 years or so depending upon how much grease, oil, etc each household uses.  I thought that sounded like a good idea to power clean my lines.  I assumed it was included in the price but they charged an additional $400.  I didn't think it was fair since my lines had no problems and looked great.  I was not expecting this additional cost. At the time I couldn't fine their advertisement with all the services included until later. I did not have time (my fault) to do research as to how much these services cost.  They said since they were here anyway why not get the service done now rather than schedule additional service call.
