My 1952 house was not equipped with a vent, nor proper traps for either the washing machine or sink. There were sewer gases backing up on occasion, into the sink area, which is of course unpleasant.

Robert installed the traps, then came back to add the vent to the outside of the house. He did not have to go through the attic and roof. The end result looks like it was built with the house, and blends in well with the exterior.

He responds to my need for help either instantly or within 24 hours, is professional and knows his business. Anyone he hires is up to his standards, and those are very high. Having a reliable and qualified plumber is key to survival, and for that need, I go to Robert!!

The salesperson was very cordial. He answered all of my questions and provided me with a quote before he left. The meeting was less than an hour and there were no high pressure sales tactics. I checked other companies providing the same services and Porcelite's price was competitive and they were by far the most responsive. (One company didn't call me back until after the work was done!) When I gave the go ahead they had me on their schedule within a couple of weeks.

It was a two part installation. The  shower pan was refinished first and it took a couple of hours to do. The first technician arrived on-time and he finished the work in the time frame quoted on the phone. The second technician came in a couple of days later. He was also on-time and finished the work within the 4 hours quotes on the phone. Both technicians were very friendly and answered all of my maintenance questions.

I am extremely pleased with the end result. My shower looks new and is practically self cleaning! 

There were no surprises with the cost. I paid the price originally quoted.

"Several years back, I called for help and we talked through my problem. We concluded that no water was leaving my house and it was backing up out of a pipe in the basement. In talking through our architecture and location, he determined this was most likely something that could be solved by Baltimore City services (for free). That turned out to be the case. James not only fixed the plumbing issue, he completed the carpentry work and repaired the ceiling. He also replaced my shower floor and the tiles surrounding it.
