Trevor was part of the team when we were finishing a kitchen remodel in 2014.  At that time we had him open a space in a wall for a future cabinet, but not cut through the wall until we knew what we wanted.  We figured out what would work best and asked him to finish the wall cut-out and smooth the sides so the new cabinet will fit.  While Trevor cut the drywall, his helper vacuumed up all the dust.  They also moved a storage unit to another room.  Trevor also answered some questions I had about a problem outside. 

They were done with everything within 40 min and no dust or drywall fragments remained.  I'm sure he will return to help with some other job in the future.

"We hired them to custom build a fence in our backyard, to match our neighbor's fence in design and style. When digging the post holes, they managed to break a piece of our house siding off. Furthermore, many post holes were dug on our neighbor's property (despite surveyor's stakes) and had to be removed and reinstalled. Things didn't get better as the project progressed. First, despite assuring us they would be able to match our neighbor's fence, the fence they built was a foot shorter and the custom design was very poorly executed. After negotiations, we ended up with a nice fence as long as you don't know it is supposed to match the neighbors. The office staff were always very pleasant and professional. They paid for and coordinated repairing our siding. Overall though, we would not use this company again.

"The contractor lives in our area. We asked for an estimate. Scott came over gave us options & opinions & listened to what we had for ideas as well, he gave us a fair estimate for both jobs. Built the deck & installed, garage door in a timely manner. "It's true: working with Hal is not like working with other contractors. With Hal, you are developing a relationship, not fulfilling the terms of a contract. For some that might be more than they want out of a contractor. For me, it was exactly what I needed. Example: I was talking with Hal about another matter when we both happened to notice some rotting boards on our deck. I thought it was unsightly, but nothing serious. Hal persuaded me that, without immediate attention, the rot would spread to the joists underneath, and what was a small problem now would be a big problem later. He replaced the deck boards on time and for the price he quoted. I can now rest assured I won't be plunging through the deck this summer. Along the way, Hal fixed some off-kilter gates in our yard, and also consulted with me about some stains on our stucco (thus managing to solve a problem that had stumped several other contractors). He's always on the end of the line when I have a home repair question. He's been there for me for some five years now. There's plenty of quality workers out there, but not many who will listen as well, contribute as much, and return as often as Hal Morris."

"They painted the Windows, Storms, Fascia, Trim, wrought iron railings, and even the chimney that needed about 3 fresh coats (and made it look amazing!) all exterior. They also painted a couple rebuilt interior windows.  Very nicely done.
Daren runs the show and is a good communicator.  They did what they said they would do and stuck to the budget discussed.
His pricing was reasonable and they were very detail oriented which was a requirement.  The job took a little longer than expected due to cold weather, but it was finished as soon as the weather cooperated.
