"We are extremely delighted and completely satisfied with our new roof and the workmanship provided by J & L.  Starting with John who was knowledgeable and helpful during the estimate process.  He answered all of our questions and put us at ease about such an expensive undertaking.  His product offering was excellent with high quality shingles and warranty.  We had four estimates provided as comparison.  One was far more expensive and the others were similar, but we feel we got the best in workmanship and that's what counts.  He and his crew showed up on time every day and put in a hard day's work.  They work as a team and there is no goofing off.  The crew was polite and answered any of our concerns as the work progressed. When they began tearing off the roof they found the reason there had been leaks from the shoddy job done by the original roofer and corrected everything. Because we had this done in early June they had to work between the rain drops. We were never left exposed as they covered all their work carefully and we had no issues.  Each night they cleaned up and disposed of all waste and swept our large driveway area and ensured there were no nails or sharp objects to protect not only us but our dog. Just before the roofing was started we had the house painted and they took pains not to cause any damage to the walls by covering the area where they were working.Because we have a flat area near the entrance, they put in standing seam metal roofing to aid with ice dams,etc. They worked this in beautifully with the shingles and it just flows evenly to the viewer. John's company offers many other home improvement services.We would definitely hire him again. <br />"

On the job he put down floor protection and enclosed the work area with plastic sheets to minimize the dust. He supplied all the materials and worked steadily. "We chose the material because of its durability and aesthetics. We chose Drew's because of their knowledge, experience, and reasonable price. While we were pleased with the materials and with the crew that showed up to do the work, we were quite displeased at the communications with this company. While we were told by the sales guy that the product warranty warranty was transferrable, only in reading the fine print did we realize the limits to the transferability. While we ahd understood that Mr. Drew would be onsite for the installations, he wasn't. The only time we saw him was when he came to take the final measurements. Fortunately the crew he sent seemed knowledgable and pleasant. When the promised schedule fell behind a month, we clearly listed the dates that would not work for them to be at our house in their revised timeframe, and yet they ignored that information. Rather, they called us to tell us they were already on their way to install our roof the very day we were leaving for vacation. It took some persistence on our part in insisting that they reschedule, rather than have contractors working on our home while we would be absent. Then they did it to us again, calling us several days later to tell us they were already on their way, forcing us to scramble to get away from work to make our home accessible. Surely they know at least the afternoon before, if not a day or more beforeapproximately when they will be finishing one job and moving on to another. It's only courtesy to give the homeowner more than an hour's notice that you are on your way, when you're already a month outside of the initial agreed-upon work window. If they changed their communication policies and gave homeowners more notice of their pending schedule, we would change this review from "not recommend" to "recommend"."
