"Mechanical Comfort Systems installed a new heating and air system when my upstairs (where all the bedrooms are located) system went out in the heat of the summer on a Thursday (left for work and it was working... got home and it was 90 degrees upstairs). I had another HVAC contractor out before calling Mechanical Comfort Systems and their proposal was significantly more expensive for a lesser system than I received from Mechanical Comfort Systems (the efficiency of the system was an upgrade from existing, and other company quoted replacement with same efficiency as existing). The system was replaced quickly (on a Saturday), and the installers were great, very professional. They cleaned up after themselves, and did a great job. During the freeze this February, I had a water pipe freeze and burst. Mechanical Comfort Systems came out the day after, even though driving conditions were still terrible and all my friends in similar situation were being told it'd be several days to a week before a plumber could come unless they paid some ridiculously expensive emergency fee... I recommended Mechanical Comfort Systems to three other people I knew that also had frozen pipes burst, and they all had them come after fix theirs after I gave them Mechanical Comfort Systems information. I strongly recommend Mechanical Comfort Systems to anyone needing any plumbing or HVAC work. I'll definitely use them again... although I hope not anytime soon ?"

"A two-man team came and did a great job of installing the new security light so my tenants would be extra secure in returning home to the garage which is in an alley.  I also had them check the swimming pool light that the grounding was safe - I do this overtime an electrician comes over for the safety of my tenants. My wife called Energy Attic to schedule an appointment for them to come out and change the configuration of the radiant barrier they installed during the summer of 2009. Since we had a new roof installed in April of this year, it was necessary for the radiant barrier to be modified slightly due to the removal of three attic vent fans and and the addition of several new ridge vents. It wasn't a large job, but something that affected the efficiency of our radiant barrier so it needed to be done.
To my surprise, they were in the neighborhood and were able to come out that same day to perform the service. The technicians arrived right on schedule and completed all their modifications within an hour.  As they were cleaning up their materials, I asked how much it would cost and the tech informed me it was a free service and that their barrier was guaranteed for life.  I said,  "are you sure? This wasn't exactly something resulting from a product or installation defect."   The technician checked his paperwork (iphone actually) and said that it was covered, and there was no charge. I was very surprised and pleased. This is a good company.
FWIW, Energy Attic installed radiant barrier along with an extra 12 inches of insulation, and several additional soffit vents back in the summer of 2009. It made a huge difference in the comfort of our house.  The AC is now able to keep the house cool the entire summer, (even during the 69 days last summer when the temp was 100+ degrees), and our electic bill decreased by an average of 40% in the summer and about 25% in the winter. I wasn't an Angie's list member at that time so I didn't write a review then, but thought I'd mention it now.  This system really works well.  Every one we dealt with, then and last week, from the office staff to the crew foremen to the installation technicians was polite and professional and it's obvious they take pride in their work. It was money well spent, and knowing what I do now, I'd certainly do it again."
