"I hired Remodeling Concepts based on a recommendation. Right from the start Derek was very responsive and once at my home he was full of ideas and suggestions to help us with our remodel. I brought in 3 contractors before hiring RC. The estimates were all around the same amount and Derek was right in line with his prices but he offered a lot more than anyone else I spoke to. Throughout the remodel, the entire staff were professional and friendly. I actually got to the point that I felt that the guys had become family...my dogs even liked them! Derek and his staff were always available when I needed them and anytime I made changes to the project Derek took it in stride and worked with me to make sure I was happy. One of the things that really made me happy when dealing with Derek is that when he would come to the house on a day that he wasn’t on site, he would review the work done and at times would find something that he deemed unacceptable that my wife and I didn’t even notice and would have the work redone to make sure it was perfect. This was a huge project that I was very nervous about and Derek and his staff made sure things went smoothly and I couldn’t be happier with the results. We did everything from new siding and a new roof, to a full kitchen remodel, new laundry room, new covered deck, and central air among other things. "Jose & Sammy were terrific. I watched to see how they were going to handle power washing the pool deck and patio with the massive amount of furniture on them. But they patiently carried every single piece to the driveway, lined them up and began power washing every piece. The furniture was cleaner than it has been since it was new. The power wash buffer they used on the concrete deck, patio and pavers did an amazing job, with minimal mess. The end result was again amazing. I hadn't seen the concrete that bright since the first year we opened the pool. They continued to do the front deck, the white railings, the front paver walkway and finished the job by power washing the entire house. They worked non-stop to complete this project in one day. I addition, Jose made some small repairs to the siding on the house and both he & Sammy carried a huge box with a fire pit to be assembled from the garage to the pool deck. I was in a time crunch to get this project done before the weekend. i called their office and Alan, the owner, cam to my house within an hour and gave me an estimate. I signed the contract via email that night and the work began the following day and was completed that evening. A great job by everyone involved. The price may have been a touch on the heavy side but I told Alan that I needed it done right away and he delivered, so you need to pay for that. I would highly recommend Westside to anyone based on this experience.

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"Hank Dutch is phenomenal. I had an old boat house that I wanted radiator covered, and with plaster walls nothing is straight. He took so much time that it was almost aggravating, not that the job took long, but he was outside standing with his radiator covers down till they were so flush against the wall it looked like the wall was perfectly straight. He did a phenomenal job. In fact, he covered a few other radiators and we are having him come back to do some more. He is a real cabinet maker. He is great, he is really talented. He is meticulous."

I reached out to Harold based on his listing on Angie's List before I bought my home--free of charge, he took a look at the roof on a property I was considering buying--giving me an estimate and advice. His help led me to find that the sellers were dishonest about the condition of and work done on their roof, and I purchased a different property in Hudson, NY. My home is a 1927 Craftsman that needed quite a bit of work. I hired Harold based on his honesty and responsiveness in helping me evaluate the first property. True to form, his estimate and ultimate cost to repaint the entire interior, repair and sheetrock floors and ceilings, refinish and replace hardwood floors, completely remodel a bathroom, rewire and install light fixtures, match original woodworking, install cabinetry, windows, and appliances, and even assist with installing new furniture, were more than reasonable. Better yet, the quality of his work was of the highest caliber. He has restored and improved a lovely home, and I am so thankful! I have to say that most of all, I am so happy with Harold's professionalism and diligence. Not every contractor is known for staying on the job and completing it on time. Especially in my situation, where I am a single woman trying to restore a second home when I live out of state--I assumed I would have difficulty in getting any contractor to be present and complete the job on time. However, this was never a problem. Harold was always there, was immediately responsive, and never slacked off when I wasn't there.
