"I had three estimates at our house for our conversion from a gas forced-air furnace to a heat pump/gas furnace installation.  I was most impressed by Evergreen's rep. Scott, as he was very helpful in explaining the technology and was the only one of the three to do a J load calculation on our home.  I also felt after the estimates were all given that Evergreen's was the best buy in terms of the product features vs. overall cost.   As I researched our installation I realized that my mother's all-electric home would be better served by a heat pump as well.  Again, Scott did the best job of all three estimators there as well.  

After the down payment of 50% of the cost the installation was set up within two weeks for both locations.  The work was done on time and efficiently.  My mother's job was done in a few hours, mine took a couple of days.  I'm happy to say that both units are performing perfectly, through both the colder weather of March and the warmer than usual days we've had in April.  

There were a couple of things that should be mentioned, not major issues but worth noting.  

The installation of our heat/pump and furnace did not meet City Code on the initial inspection as the condensation pump was placed on the floor.   City code required it to be 18 inches off the floor due to a potential for an explosion should there be a gas leak.  The correction was done within a few days, but I did have to schedule a city inspector on two different days.   The city inspector remarked that the installer 'should have known better'.  

On my mom's split heat pump the indoor blower unit began making a loud clanking noise one month into use.  Evergreen was quick to come out, mom called on Sunday morning and was able to have a crew come out the next day.  Apparently the installers had missed a mounting clip on the external cover of the indoor unit and over time the casing sagged enough that the rotating fans began to hit the inside of the case.  

Several weeks after our work was done I was called by the financial office asking me to pay the remaining 50% balance.  I pointed out that it had been paid on the day the work was done, but apparently the payment was not correctly registered as having been paid by their accounting office.  Fortunately I was able to point to my credit card statement indicating that the balance had been paid in full.  

Overall Evergreen did a professional job from start to finish and I have no hesitation in recommending them.  Given their expertise and experience I have no doubt that my equipment will continue to be well serviced going forward.  "

"It went great! John, the original staff person, evaluated the furnace, explained what was needed and worked with me to select a good replacement. He did not pressure me to purchase a new furnace. A follow-up appointment for a second opinion validated that a new furnace would be best and within a few days (warm weather--not a problem) the furnace was installed with a better option for my electronic filter system. "From the very start, Overlake Heating Heating A/C was professional and responsive.
I called to explain that I wanted an estimate for a new furnace and the receptionist told me that Rob would call me back to discuss any questions. 
Rob called me back very quickly and explained the different options for replacing a furnace. He gave me his email address in case I had any additional questions. 
I had researched and interviewed several companies, but I felt the most comfortable with Overlake and with Rob.
I emailed Rob with many questions andy he always responded quickly and with good advice as far  his opinions as to the best brands of furnaces. 
It was easy and fast to schedule an appointment to replace my furnace. 
The technicians (two technicians- Jye and his assistant (sorry- I do not remember his name) showed up on time, did a quick install, cleaned up and explained in detail how everything works. They removed and replaced an existing gas furnace, obtained the permits and performed duct pressure testing.
They removed their shoes when entering my home, cleaned up and got rid of any garbage before leaving
They made sure to explain what they did, how everything works and what needs to be done in the future to maintain the furnace. They answered all my questions and Overlake even sent me a thank you note afterwards to thank me for their using their company. I am very picky about cleanliness and responsiveness and quality and would highly recommend this company. I would use Overlake again for any additional heating or air conditioning needs.

"Everything went well and smooth with their help. I got the proposal with all details at the same day when they came to do the estimate. Our old furnace was built on 1971, and it was in a closet next to the water heater tank. When one other company came to estimate, they wanted to cut a furnace size hole on the wall facing the hallway to fit the machine and we have to find a constructor or handy man to finish, like to build a door or make it look good, but G&S figured out an easy way, which is to turn the machine toward another direction and eventually only cut a vent on the wall. It took two days for all the installation, and they cleaned up when they left and everything looked clean and nice. They also listened to customers. We didn't want the heat pump to be right next to the stairs of our deck, so they chose a spot which was few feet away from the closest spot without any question. We appreciate for that, since the wind blows out from heat pump is kind of strong, and we feel comfortable with where it is at now. One thing I really like is they were on time, and they called around 30 minutes ahead before them showed up. They also take care all the paperwork for the PUD rebate, Costco 10% shop card, and city permits, and all we do is waiting their call to arrange the time."
