"Josh did an exceptional job when coming to my house to repair some fixtures. Not only did he do it with complete professionalism, he went above and beyond offering guidance, tips, and educated our family about the safety aspect as well. He did all of this with a smile on his face. He even educated my son on being an electrician, and now he wants to he just like Josh helping and serving people. Starlight Electric LLC is welcome to our home anytime! I will recommend to anyone. Thanks again, Josh!"

"Tom thoroughly listened to the problem description before launching in to the task. He called to gather more detail and questioned/pushed back on the product distributor to identify the root cause of the problem. Definitely went the extra mile to resolve our issue which wound up being a problem with the original set up. Tom is brilliant and would recommend him to anyone."

"After checking around with other auto glass repair vendors I found Glass Installers Plus on Angie's List and asked for an estimate to replace a cracked outside mirror on my van. Gregg's estimate was way below what other vendor's quoted, if fact I wondered if we were talking about the same item. I decided to go ahead and order the mirror from him and see how it goes. It wasn't a big job so I didn't expect much attention. Gregg got in touch with me once the mirror arrived and made an appointment to drop by my home to install it since he was in the area. I live in the south side of the Twin Cities, a considerable distance from his business up north so I was impressed by his willingness to come by. On the appointment date he came early morning and was done with the whole job before I could get out to greet him. The cost was exactly what he had quoted before and I was delighted with his prompt, efficient service. He's a fun fellow to talk with and we got to talking about his business and such and I mentioned that I also had a chip in my van's windshield but didn't want to go to the trouble of filing a claim with my insurance company. He took a look at it and explained why some chips are more serious than others, leading to cracked windshields. The chip I knew of wasn't of the serious kind but he did see one I hadn't noticed up high behind the visor mirror that already had a crack in it. I asked if he would consider fixing it since he was there. He said he had another job to go to but still took the time repair the chip before leaving. Again, his price was below anything I had heard from other glass repair outfits and his service was excellent.
Apparently he handles all manner of window glass installation and repairs and has been doing so for over 30 years. I would gladly hire him again for glass service and recommend him to anyone else in need. It is obvious why he has high ratings on Angie's List.
Thanks again, Gregg.

"Halle Electric was called to my garage which was experiencing outdoor lighting problems. The garage is a large separate building with an outdoor lighting problem. My flood lights first started to flicker unexpectedly. Then when I turned them on they would refuse to turn on or then sometimes they would turn on by themselves. They would also sometimes flip breakers, not just one circuit but two separate circuits. This was beyond my capability to even understand what was causing these strange electrical behaviors. I called Halle Electric and Kory, the owner, came out himself. He spent a couple of hours and was able to repair the problem - a real miracle! I found Kory Halle to be personable and very professional. His fee was also very reasonable. I highly recommend Halle Electric."

"EXCELLENT!!!!! Had them pour a 8x4 concrete floor in our basement to cover a soil root cellar. Dug out the soil even lower and hand mixed the concrete with little mess. VERY fast, pleasant, knowledgable and did an overall good job!! Even came out a few days before to give us a free quote onsite; not many will do that. VERY reasonable on price and will definitely send more work their way in the near future."

"This company has treated me well, especially Mike Museus, who worked over a year (last summer and this spring) to find out why there was a fluid leak in my new AC unit. The leak didn't affect the cooling of my home so I wasn't concerned, but Mike was persistent, even to returning finally with an "expert" to help diagnose the problem. What they found was that the A-coil above the furnace was full of tiny pinholes. On the day this was to be replaced, Steve came before 9 a.m. to remove the defective A-Coil and install the new one. He worked on it all day, without lunch or a break, leaving shortly after 5 p.m. There was no charge, as it was still under warranty. With all that, he still took the time to explain to me why the replacement was so important: that the defective A-Coil could eventually leak enough to damage the furnace below it. Because he was using solder, I believe, to install the new part, he turned on the ceiling fan in the adjacent room to mitigate the fumes. My only complaint is that a few of my vinyl floor tiles were damaged/discolored by the soldering process. That part of the flooring has had water damage before and is missing a few tiles so, after a day of hard work, he may have attributed the damage to work done before. It's not a big deal; I just wish he'd have said something. I have to hand it to Steve, though; he was working by himself, which frequently required him to leave the furnace area to check the outdoor AC unit, then rush back to the indoor work. I think it might have been a two-person job. At least, an assistant could have facilitated some of the work done."

"Hal's work is top-notch but I grew increasingly frustrated with the timing and inconsistency of his work habits. His was one of several estimates I received and basically he said he would beat any estimate I received. The difference is that everyone else was going to use cedar and he only works with pressure-treated Southern yellow pine, which is less than half the cost of cedar. I was unsure of the durability and longevity of that product so I did extensive research online. Still unsure, I drive around the Twin Cities to see other jobs Hal did that gave stood the test of time and I decided to move forward. Clearly, the way he builds his fences require considerably more manual labor than those built with cedar posts and pickets so essentially instead of paying for the higher cost of cedar, you pay for increased labor costs. Unfortunately, Hal isn't as going as predicting when he will get jobs complete as he is completing them well. He was over a month late in getting started and I repeatedly had to call him to inquire about the delay. It was quite frustrating but since I didn't absolutely need the fence done by a certain date, I decided to practice patience. Once he finally started, most days he and his helper only worked 4 hours so the project dragged on far longer than I thought it would. Admittedly, there were a couple of weather-related days but other times when it was a perfect day, they wouldn't show up and I would give no idea when they were coming again. After I told him I really needed to have him be more communicative, he was and within a short time after that conversation, he completed the fence. The fence is beautiful and appears very sturdy. We'll see how it withstands time and weather but for now I am very happy with it. Hal does beautiful work but if you are on a strict timeline I would not recommend working with him. If you are flexible and don't mind putting more effort into communication, he is a great person to work with.
