"The installer very sensibly installed the replacement gutters to match the previous installation. This placed the downspout  about 2 feet from the end of the gutter. As I realized this would lead to pooling in the space between the end of the gutter and the downspout and be a breeding ground for mosquitoes I voiced my concern to the installer who had just finished doing a very fine job. <br />     After consulting head-quarters he agreed to reinstall just to make me happy. I asked if he thought a simple patch over the existing downspout hole as well as installing a whole new gutter (which he was preparing to do at no extra cost). He looked relieved and said it could be guaranteed to work well. The downspout is now attached to the end of the gutter and I am very satisfied. <br />     I will definitely be using this company again and will highly recommend them to anyone who asks. <br />"

"I greatly appreciate your crew’s expertise at installing our 14 new replacement windows on November 11, 2022. Please let your crew know how highly I feel about their professionalism and expertise on the job. I did a final walk around inspection and had some concern about my three front attached windows looking out of square. I have since looked at older pictures of that three window set and see my siding is out of square not the windows! I feel badly that I may have taken away some of their feeling of a job well done. They overcame the rotten frame problems they had to work with around the house, as well as the aforementioned existing issue. My wife and I are thoroughly pleased with the new windows, your communication along the way and the professionalism shown throughout the process. Best regards, Robert MacKinnis"

"I enjoy the windows but the process was difficult. twice windows were mis-measured and the work had to be put off until the correct windows could be ordered. One of the bathroom windows was installed to far in eliminating a shelf that was there. Pella had to come out an move it back. The guy who installed the bathroom window initially was quite angry about the movement of the window and also when I said I was dissatisfied with some other work that was done. He expressed that he was doing me a favor to be doing the work. I have only one Anderson French door left and am not going to replace it, because of the aggravation I experienced."

"Great. Was not exactly sure when the project would start, mainly due to weather, but once they started, they knocked it out quick. The roof looks great. The crew cleaned up thoroughly afterwards and made sure I was happy before leaving. Scott made recommendations of some spot repairs (that I was well aware of) that the other roofing companies did not mention. He also said if I had any issues at all to give them a call and they will be there to fix it. Had 4 companies bid on the project and I feel like I made the right choice going with Betts. Would definitely recommend and do business again!"

"My husband and I were in the market for windows and we shopped around before deciding upon Life Time. After numerous presentations from other companies, we decided we could get the best bang for our buck from Life Time. The salesperson was informational and professional. We are very happy with our decision and our new windows."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Ridgely, MD

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
