"From my initial meeting with Phil Coleman, owner, to the installation, everything was very professional. The windows that were installed today (10/31/18) are very high quality (triple pane) and sealing the window system in place was done with great expertise. The new windows open easily and there is a screen on the outside for ventilation. The original windows were in a steel frame embedded in the concrete foundation and the windows were no longer able to close for a tight seal plus some of the window panes were cracked. Our basement will be much warmer now. I had trouble finding a company that would do this small job but Phil said no job is too small for them. I would highly recommend this company-they do big jobs and small jobs. Phil presented copies of several reference letters that were very impressive."

"We dropped in to see what Exciting Windows had on display based upon Angie's list reviews. We left our name and number and got a prompt call back to set up a home consultation. I knew what I wanted but both of the installations were pretty tricky -- I had a triple window in my dining area that I wanted white wood blinds and a street view from my bedroom that I wanted half shutters. The session occurred exactly as planned and plenty of time spent to get exactly what we wanted. The design consultation was very well worth it as I would have picked a totatly different "white" but these are gorgeous. I was steered to the best material per application, using vinyl for the shutters. The installation was included for a flat price and the installer spent a great deal of time in our house as the plantation shutter installation was tricky. They turned out great. The installer worked to make me completely satisfied. The over the top was that I had another installer for my living room blinds -- but that service provider did not provide returns for the valences. The valence was open on the  sides and sort of slid around a bit from side to side. Very frustrating. For the cost of the replacement valences only, the consultant contacted the blind manufacturer, worked out the best alternative, obtained our approval and the installer installed new valences with returns. It really looks so much better. That is above and beyond. I can't say how happy we are with Exciting Windows. Highly recommended. <br />"

"Outstanding. They took great care both inside and outside. The installation is top notch. I have never had a scenario where i did not need to make a single comment . They trained us on how to open the tilt in windows afterwards. They cleaned up the place so that it looked better than when they came in. Excellent contractor"

"Everything went perfect. Salesperson was on time, very curious, took his shoes off in my home and was very professional. Explained everything in detail so that my wife and i could understand all the details. Gave us a no haggle price in writing and showed us all the payment options to move forward with our window project. The price was a little higher than we expected at first but we are glad we made the decision to move forward. Project manager was professional and also explained everything. He was quick and to the point and double checked all of our measurements, choices and options so there was no confusion or mistakes. Crew showed up about 2 months later and were on time, very professional and even made sure to close doors behind them so our dog would not escape which i thought was very thoughtful. The crew did an amazing job with our windows, they look perfect and did an awesome job cleaning up after themselves. They covered our floors, furniture and walkways and then even vacuumed everything up afterwards. I would highly recommend Renewal to everyone, you truly do get what your paid for."

"Arrived very promptly (at the beginning of the time window specified), polite and friendly, and excellent work, within the time frame promised. Four pictures are attached, taken at approximately the same time of day for the same lighting from about the same angle with the same camera: "before" pictures are from yesterday, "after" pictures are from today after today's powerwashing. My vinyl siding and deck are about thirteen years old, but now they look like new. Make sure to ask for a quotation that includes the deck. My concrete front steps also are greatly improved."

"<p>The job could not have gone any better, Andre and Blair are great people to work with and are experts at what they do!</p> <p>We started the job with removal of a load bearing  wall that was in between the kitchen and living room and installed a support beam. The kitchen was then gutted to the studs and old floor removed. The rough electrical and plumbing were then completed for the new cabinets and island/bar. We had and old picture window removed form the dining room side of the space and re-framed for a smaller window and a totally new window added in the adjacent wall for more natural light. Three arches were framed in where the wall was removed to add some decorative detail to the space. The new sheetrock was installed and prepped as required throughout the room, including the ceiling and arches. The ceiling/ walls were painted and new bellawood hardwood floor and cabinets were installed. The cabinets were trimmed out with crown molding and the island/bar had the decorative panels added(JUST STUNNING!!) The most incredible pieces of granite were installed on the cabinets and island/bar area to give the kitchen a wonderfully rich look. Andre now installed two decorative columns from the center ceiling arch to the island/bar and it looks amazing! The final plumbing and electrical was done, which included under cabinet, pendant and ceiling lighting. The new under mount sink had new fixtures installed as well water/ice in the fridge. Andre and Blair came back in for a final walk thru and adjusted the cabinet hardware for final spacing of the doors, installed the over the stove microwave as well. The final product could not look any better it is just gorgeous and I was able to enjoy my new bar during the SUPERBOWL!</p> <br />"

"This was an insurance claim for my damaged windshield. I decided to use interstate cause they are local to me. I knew nothing else about this company other than the fact they have been in Somersworth for a very long time. Was contacted by Bruce the owner and had a scheduled install date promptly and they were flexible with my schedule. Bruce addressed my concerns about factory windshield versus aftermarket. I went with the aftermarket so I didn't have to wait for the factory windshield, dropped off and picked up the same day!"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Rochester, NH

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
