"Mike did a great job - he was professional, courteous, engaging, and went about his business. He finished before the time he estimated and we were charged only for the time he was there. We will definitely use ONE Service Pros again."

"I did a fair bit of research and spoke with a couple of companies. I also checked with the North Carolina state site on what to expect from a radon mitigation system and what to look for in a company to install a system, in particular to make sure the installer is certified.
Two main reasons I went with Covenant Air. The first is that David Coffey was the only one in my area I could verify was certified in Radon Mitigation and I was certain that the person completing the work  was if fact certified. The second reason is that on our initial conversation David was very informative and straight forward, not pushy and wanted to assess our home and the need for a mitigation system prior to giving a quote.
David ran a 3 day test our home with a device prior to any recommendations to determine if a mitigation system was needed. The results indicated that our radon level was between 10 and 16 (I can't remember the unit of measurement). EPA recommend below 4.0 yikes! David installed the system. He was professional, efficient, friendly and he even cleaned up after himself. Not kidding I didn't have to do a thing! He returned after the system had time to do its work and retested. The level were down to 0.7 and at no time higher than 2.0.  The system is quiet and out of the way, you don't even know it's there.
David was very flexible in his pricing also, allowing my husband to install the pipe from the pump to the roof to reduce our costs.  He told my husband exactly how to complete the work.

"When we had our oil changed at Jiffy Lube back in July, the technicians there brought a problem with the rear differential to our attention.  We took the car to Sal at Meineke, who repaired it within a day at the price mentioned above.
However, this isn't the main reason for putting him on Angie's List today.  What I'm really impressed with is what happened in September 2012.  We noticed a funny sound in the engine and took the 2007 jeep to Sal at Meineke.  He thought it was a problem with the transfer case and knew this would be very expensive to replace  (around $2500).  Sal told us that he wasn't absolutely certain that he was diagnosing the problem correctly.  With our permission, he offered to drive our car to another nearby business that specialized in transmission problems.  He said that he trusted the people at this business and would like to get another opinion before he made this costly repair.  We agreed, and the other business was able to repair our car for about $1100.  We were very grateful to Sal for his honesty and willingness to go out of his way to spare us such a costly repair.  Even though he didn't get the job, Sal saw to it that we were given honest and capable service.
Sal is reliable, conscientious, and trustworthy , and I want others to know about him!

FAQs for window a/c unit service or relocation projects in Rockford, TN

If your window air conditioner is relatively new or of high quality, repairing it can restore optimal performance and protect your investment. However, for older units or those with ongoing issues, it might be more cost-effective to replace the unit to ensure long-term efficiency and reliability. Consider the unit's age, the severity of the problem, repair costs versus replacement, and energy efficiency ratings when making your decision. If repairs cost more than half the price of a new unit, replacement is typically the better option.

Window air conditioners last eight to ten years on average. After this time, you may notice decreased efficiency and component wear. Replacing an older unit can improve energy savings and provide updated features like remote controls and better overall performance. With proper maintenance including regular filter cleaning, coil checks, and professional servicing, you can maximize your unit's lifespan.

If your portable AC isn't cooling, it might have a refrigerant leak or a circuit malfunction that's preventing it from working properly. It's best to contact a local air conditioner contractor to inspect and repair the unit. If your AC is older and repairs don't fix the issue, replacing it might be the most effective solution.

Removing a wall-mounted AC costs $55 to $75. Completing the removal yourself at the end of each summer season, being sure to do so according to proper guidelines, keeps you within this cost range. Should you require professional assistance for removal and disposal, if you can't move the unit yourself, expect an added fee of $25 to $50 to the overall cost.
