"The job was to remove and replace a defective well pressure tank, pressure switch and associated lines. There was no selection for this under the Specific Project pulldown, so I selected Plumbing for Home Addition. Anyway, Josh did a great job and went the extra mile of replacing some existing pvc pipes/fittings with copper and brass. I didnâ t get a chance research price, but for the quality of the work performed and the importance of getting it done in a timely manner, it was worth it."

"Very well, so far (knock wood} 3 others came out and never checked the coil for a leak. Simply recommended the outdoor and indoor be replaced. Dan's check the coil and that was where the leak was. This saved us between $3 and $4,000. So far so good. \"

"Our air conditioning wasn't cooling our house so we called our air conditioning guy to ask him to check the health of our a/c unit. He told us we had leaks in the system and would likely need a new a/c unit. We called several businesses to get quotes. The person at Welch's Heating and Air who took our call was very courteous and professional. She asked some questions to learn that we were interested in a new central air conditioning unit but weren't sure if we wanted a new furnace. She explained that in order to give us an accurate quote they would have to send someone to our house so they could see its size and structure and that process would take about an hour. We made an appointment for a specific time and I asked if they would call just before the estimator would arrive so I wouldn't have to take more time off work than necessary. <br /> On the day of the appointment the man from Welch's called me to let me know he would be there on time. When I arrived at my house he was already there in his truck waiting on me. I took note as he introduced himself that he was quite professional and courteous. I showed him to the utility room so he could see how the air conditioning and furnace were installed. We then walked outside to see that part of the air conditioning unit. One concern of mine was whether the air conditioning unit we had in the house was properly sized. He took some measurements and used a computer to determine the proper a/c size needed for our house and he recommended a unit one size larger than what we had. All during this process he talked to me about various aspects of installing new air conditioning. <br /> At this point we had not decided whether to have a new furnace installed at the same time. So, we asked for several quotes for various sizes and efficiencies of air conditioning units and furnaces. He was happy to give us all the estimates we wanted. <br /> We called several other businesses to get their quotes for comparison and considered them all. Once we saw all of the quotes we decided to have the central air conditioning and the furnace replaced. We also chose Welch's Heating and Air to install the a/c and furnace. One aspect of air conditioning is the condition of the line set, the pipes that carry the coolant from the inside part of the a/c to the outside unit. Apparently, most of the time when there is coolant leak the line set is not the <br /> problem. The man from Welch's said that they would test them to make sure they didn't need replacing. <br /> The installers were scheduled to arrive at 8:00 AM and they too were on time. The two men arrived and were very polite and friendly as they introduced themselves. They went right to work to empty the coolant from the old air conditioner and remove the old a/c unit and furnace. Shortly after these two men arrived, two other men from Welch's arrived with the new air conditioning and furnace. It wasn't long before the four of them had the old a/c and furnace removed and the installation process started. <br /> Before they installed the new air conditioning they did test the line set as promised by the estimator. It's a good thing they did because they found leaks. Had they not tested them we would still have had problems with our a/c. Replacing the line set added about an hour to the installation process. From speaking with the installers we learned that wasn't too bad. Depending on the design of the house, it could be quite involved and might require cutting through walls. It tuned out that our house was relatively easy to replace the line set. We were so happy that they followed through with the test as promised! <br /> Once the a/c and furnace were installed, one of the men tested the temperature of the air coming out of the duct in our living room. All was well! The a/c cooled the air quite nicely. The furnace test also showed that it was heating the air properly. <br /> All in all our experience with Welch's was wonderful! Everyone we dealt with was on-time, polite, and professional. They did a great job and it was obvious they knew what they were doing. The estimate they gave us was the price we paid. Everything they promised to do, they did! It was a real pleasure doing business with Welch's and we would definitely recommend them.. <br />"

"We hired Wichita Plumbing Co. to install a natural gas line to connect to a fire pit on our patio, and we were very pleased with the friendly service and the quality of work. The Beales are class acts. They kept us informed throughout the process--which included some weather delays (certainly not their fault)--and gave us a very fair price for the extent of the work involved. We're happy to have finally found a plumbing service that we won't hesitate to hire whenever the need arises."

"We called Integrity Plumbing due to a serious clog in our kitchen sink. Paul came out on time, immediately went to checking <br /> what could be the cause of the problem, this included a trip to the roof. The roof? Yes, to see if the vent could be plugged up. He spend several minutes inspecting everything to determine the clog. He then proceeded to fix the clog. He was very professional, Very knowledgeable. I don't remember what the cost was, but we felt at the time it was very reasonable. We asked some other questions about changing the faucet, changing the sink, some remodeling and Paul made what we thought were very good suggestions. We would definitely call Integrity Plumbing for any and all of our plumbing needs. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Rose Hill, KS

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
