Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. "Chimney Chap service was excellent. The price with Angie's List promo deal was the best around. They called the next day to schedule the appointment at a convenient time. The person who performed the work, Jim, arrived around the time window they provided, with a little adjustment for the heavy rush hour traffic in the morning, and called ahead to notify of his ETA.  Jim was very courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and thorough in his work.  He provided very helpful information, described some issues with the chimney and the firebox, provided recommendations and good explanations of everything.
He took the time to do the fireplace measurements to provide the quotes for an insert, and some other related work.  They take thorough notes and pictures, document any relevant issues, and provide a follow up report with notations after the service.  The back office is very responsive and stays on top of things, even during their busiest time of the season.
