"We hired 2T construction to finish a basement bedroom in our home. Joe at 2T construction was a fantastic communicator, and always took care of everything for us in a timely manner. He’s made it so easy for us and we didn’t have to worry about a thing! His staff are great and friendly, as well as very respectful when in our house. We greatly appreciate the work they did and the high-quality. Will definitely be using 2T construction in the future."

"New walls were built using paneling that matched existing paneling.  I had asked for a 3-foot-high box with removable or hinged lid to be built around the sump pump to keep the cat from playing with it; Jamie recommend a closet instead of a box, which was acceptable to me, and will prove to be a better choice when I have the sump pump discharge rerouted away from sanitary sewer. <br /> Sump pump failed overnight during construction.  I had not moved in yet, so I was glad that the workers altered me.  With my authorization they had a new sump pump installed, removed the soaked carpet, and ran dehumidifiers to dry out the basement. <br /> One door was installed opening opposite my request, but this was too minor a detail to ask for a correction. <br /> New doors and trim were stained and varnished, and all messes were cleaned up completely.  Very happy with the work.  Solar tube (skylight) in bathroom is wonderful!"

"Contractor was punctual and professional. Had great attention to detail. I was convinced he and his crew would do a very good job if hired. His price was well above another bid I ultimately accepted for another contractor using the same materials. His wait time to start the job was also much longer, which I took to be a sign that his work is very highly regarded by others. The only reason I didn't rate overall experience higher is that I couldn't afford the price he bid. <br />"

"The work went very well. They were in and out in 4 hours job done. The only issue we had was there truck had an oil leak, minor considering how quickly they got the work scheduled and completed within 2 weeks. <br /> <br />"

"Steve and his crew were very professional and worked hard. Job was finished in a day. Clean up was done well and old material was taken away. I had an issue with proper drainage with one section of gutter. Called Steve and he came out within the week and fixed the issue. <br /> No problems - would recommend. <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Ryan, IA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
