"The first red flag is representing himself as Steve Perez on Angi’s list when in fact his name is Ziv. There’s the hard sell and false promises (finish a kitchen remodel in 5-6 weeks) when it took 4 months. Unprofessionalism is an understatement. He communicates through texting like a teenager and screams at the client when in fact errors are his fault or his sub-contractors. We provided appliance specs very early in the process and the electrician still made errors for which Ziv wanted us to pay for. The cabinets delivered were incomplete which he blamed on us. He demanded a final payment and threatened to put a lean on our house when the work was incomplete per the contract. Then Subs starting calling demanding payment which was resolved after we provided cashed checks to Sonart Construction. Don’t believe what I say. Read the BBB review complaints for a well-deserved F rating."

"Hired Mike to remodel my kitchen, hang new cabinets with lights under them, lay hardwood floors, baseboards, and other work. After over a year the job is still not done and the deficiencies have not been fixed, despite his promises. The floors were not installed or secured correctly and the edges and sides stick up higher then the other boards and they pop when you step on them. The floorboards do not reach to the center island and there is a noticeable large gap between the floor and center island . The light fixtures were not connected and he left the wires just hanging under the cabinets. The crown molding was installed off center and not evenly connected. despite numerous promises the job is still not done or corrected despite him being paid over $15,000. Worse job and contractor I have ever hired."

"On 5/29/25 Tristin came to my house and gave me a quote on a new shower remodel with a new toilet, and we signed the contract. I thought $12,000 plus was exorbitant, but Tristin assured me that Long Home uses quality materials, excellent craftsmanship, and excellent service. He told me that they will replace all the pipes, and the shower and toilet will have lifetime warranties. So, I agreed and gave him half down and it was scheduled for the 6/27/25 and 6/28/25. Tristian called me on the 6/5/25 and told me that for the shower I choose the half wall that was part of my existing shower would have to be removed, he said otherwise I would have to pay an additional $1,500+, because the shower I agreed to couldn’t be installed otherwise. I told Tristin on 5/29/25 that I did not want the wall removed, but after talking to Tristin on the 5th I relented and said the wall could be removed and ordered another toilet for my other bathroom. The day of the installation came, and one guy came on time and the actual plumber came about 2 hours late around noon. They started working on the demolition and Tristin came around 4pm to move the power socket that was in the wall they removed. He put a rough patch on the wall and installed the outlet without the cover. They removed my cabinet from the wall so they could take down the wall but never replaced it. They worked until 10 pm on Friday. Tristin was supposed to come out on Saturday to finish the patch and put the cover on the outlet. Saturday 6/28/25 the helper arrived at 830 am and the plumber arrived at 1030, at 450 pm the plumber showed me the shower rod they sent with my shower, and it was too short. He told me to call Tristin, I did, and he said OK Tristin never showed up and the two guys finished at 945 pm without putting the cabinet back up. I checked the toilet in the bathroom where the shower was installed, and it kept running after I flushed it, and I put a toilet cleaning tab in the other one and noticed the toilet lid does not fit right. I texted Tristin on Sunday morning telling him about both toilets and he texted me back on that Monday and said he could come at 4pm. I work nights and did not get up until around 5pm and I texted him and told him that I do not usually get up until 6pm during the week when I work and he never messaged me back. I sent Tristin another text on Saturday 7/5/25 telling him to ask him when he could come out and fix the problems I have. I have not heard back as of yet. Long Home charges a premium price and Tristin told me that I would get premium service, he said this is why they charge so much, but the experience I’ve had is anything but premium, I paid $12,000 and I only have one toilet that works correctly even though the lid doesn’t fit properly, I had to buy a shower rod so I could use my shower, since the one I bought from them didn’t fit, which makes no sense because they knew the dimensions of the shower. I had to have a wall removed that I did not really want removed, because they made a mistake when I signed the contract. I have the outlet in my bathroom wired without a cover, my wall is not finished, and my cabinet is still sitting in my bedroom. I do not mind spending the money for something, but I want the product and the service to be worth the price, I paid for professionals, but this is not the problems you are supposed to have with professionals."

Javi and his whole team were totally professional, did a beautiful job, always cleaned up after themselves and was great to work with. Javi is very creative and has excellent ideas to present."

"Signed contract 11/12. Permitting request made; permit issued 1/30/2025. Drywall/insulation work begun almost immediately. Spoke on phone with GC just over 2 weeks ago to review time frame for rest of work. GC stated he planned to meet with me and walk through the following week. Stated painting would begin the following week (this would be the week of 2/10). Neither event happened. Also asked about floor tiling job, as I had outside company doing the job & wanted to let that person know when he could plan on the job starting. GC stated 2 weeks out; that would have been this past week. This didn't happen either. I texted GC 2/18 to ask if we could meet at house the next day. No reply. Called cell # 2/19 requesting call back to discuss lack of recent progress. Emailed 2/21 with same request, reminding him that I'm renting a place & am unable to stay indefinitely. Again asking about time frame on project. On 2/22, texted again, asking that he please call me. Each time I've attempted contact, I've asked him to please call me to discuss project & time line. He has not responded to me at all. This is the reason for my complaint. As of now, I feel left in the dark about whatever is happening or not. He is not communicating to me. I feel like he is avoiding contact. At present, I have no idea what his plans are schedule-wise for the project. It feels like my house project is in limbo right now. For more than a week, nothing has been done inside the house, with no explanation as to why. I think the GC has possibly over-extended himself, due to the magnitude of people needing assistance post-hurricanes and therefore may not have much spare time. But he needs to make sure his customers are being taken care of and communicated with."

"My experience with Blue Bay Construction was unfortunately full of unprofessionalism and poor communication. I bought our house and employed Raul and his team at Blue Bay construction to remove some old wood paneling, replace it with drywall, and replace the ceilings with drywall. They also recommend to raise/re-route some AC duct work into the attic, which we want forward with. Along with installing some new lights and priming the drywall to be painted. Raul originally quoted this job for 2-3 weeks, which was totally fine as we weren’t moving into the house for 2 months at this point. The job was “completed” in just under two weeks. However during the walk-through, the new AC vents that were created as a result of moving the duct work, did not blow air at all. Raul assured us that they would get someone on that fix asap. It took around 5 days for someone to get over to the house. After this “fix,” raul said that: “The problem was simple… my guys close the vent inside to paint and do not open it when they leave.” When we go up to the house the next time, the vents are blowing now, but barely (MAYBE 20% of what they were before the changes). I inform Raul of this issue and it takes 4 days just to get a response because he was on vacation and busy. It takes ANOTHER 6 DAYS after this just to get someone to the house to look at the vents again. After this he says, “We inspected the ducting and it looks good.” Spoiler, it wasn’t. ANOTHER 5 DAYS after this, Raul says his team will be at the house Saturday (another 3 days after this) to resolve the issue. I come to the house Sunday to see flex tube and drywall torn down where they framed for the new duct work and flex tube to go. There was no mention at all of the job being this big, something you would think would be mentioned. For all the work they did, the pricing was extremely fair. Had there been more communication and urgency to complete the job and the issues throughout the process."
