"I've hired many folks to do work for me during my 72+ years and 5 owned residences, and Chimney Savers easily rank among the best. Their professionalism integrity and respect remained top notch throughout the three-step process involved in the job - from Alan and Mike's timely coordination and clear communication in the office, to Jeff and Joe's conscientious efforts removing the old fireplace insert while leaving my brick hearth intact, Jeff and Cam's long hours installing a new chimney and wood stove in a day, and Curt and Bob's finishing touches in a foot of snow to install the custom cap. I would hire them again in a heartbeat, and highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services."

"Very well! He was well prepared to do the work. I had a long list of other small repairs plus I asked if he would paint my shed. He agreed to return in two weeks. He has a large van type truck which his traveling work shop. He had all the things he needed to do all the repairs, with him.Tha plumbing was the kitchen sink and the outside water faucet. The electrical was light. above the kitchen sink. On the way out, he took the time to tighten the screen door.. The wind had blown it against the house. Needless to say, I was very happy with his work! He is a quiet spoken man , tends right to work. Very efficient!"

"Pleasure to work with them, very good quality work. Explained exactly what they were doing, and gave me the option of replacing the transition vent and clamps. More expensive than the association recommended, but worth the extra cost."

"Bob is amazing. I've never been more comfortable having a contractor in my house. Super friendly, punctual and incredibly thorough.  He was the first of three contractors I had come out and bid the job, and I almost hired him on the spot. I went ahead and saw the other two, but Bob was still the winner.   <br /> My house was built in 1952, so it's always an adventure when you start modifying and up dating anything.  Bob handled everything that came up and I'm extremely happy with the floor that went down (he recommended the tile type).  I had the toilet shipped from Home Depot, and didn't check it- so we didn't find out it was broken until he opened it up late in the day.  He kept working until we came back with a replacement toilet that evening, and had it in in a jiffy.  We only have the one bathroom, it would have been a hotel stay for us if it wasn't installed, so thank goodness for Bob! <br /> He came back for a second day of work to finish off the medicine cabinet and the tub caulking. I cannot express how much better it looked when he got done with all the finish work.  I'm no longer embarrassed for people to go in my bathroom! <br /> I'm raving to everyone about the job he did, and will continue to recommend him to anyone I know who needs some work done. <br />"

"These guys are amazing!!! We ran into unseen problems and Zeb gave me some awesome suggestions and designs to fix it for my new retro kitchen. He also remodeled my barbershop and built a platform which consists of a one of kind industrial rail all around that is more art than function. Let's move to the outside where his crew pays strict attention to detail and design and they then built a inground fire pit which my family has enjoy d very much. His design ideas and attention to date ail and perfection are what will keep me a longtime loyal client. Oh and let's not forget he is my snow removal service as well. This company is truly a one stop place to get everything I need done and he does big or small for me which I appreciate greatly."

"We bought a building that was going to be demolished in the Page extension/ Hwy 364 route.  We owned property adjacent to the building and had Expert House Movers move the structure approximately 1000 foot across a roadway and onto a new foundation.  I was amazed that they were able to do it without any of the brick fascade cracking/crumbling.  Before the building was lifted and moved, we inspected the interior of the building and took a black marker to areas of interior drywall cracking. After having them lift and move the building, there were no new cracks and the existing cracks were unchanged.  I couldn't believe it.  I would highly recommend them.  It's unbelievable to see the buildings and structures they have moved. <br />"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Saint Albans, VT

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
