"If you’re thinking of having anything done, call Bill first! He is knowledgeable in so many things. He not only was fixing washing machine, but doing plumbing work identifying leaks throughout the house, fixing them and replacing old sink fixtures and he’s just an all-around nice guy! "I bought a special offer (via Angie's List) for HomeMade Design to provide a design for one room in my house.  I was in the process of moving into a new home, organizing it, etc. so really wanted help with some interior design.  But I was so busy that the deal ended up expiring before I could use it.  I contacted HomeMade Design and they told me that all they could do was give me credit for the amount of the deal toward a future purchase.  The thing is, I can't afford their prices (even with the credit), so I ended up throwing money away.  My fault, but I wish the deal could have been a little more flexible in terms of expiration.  We (Homemade Design and I) had never started the project so what difference did it make if we started one year later?  I still need a design and they have the money.....why can't we start now?  Note:  I would have gladly paid a little more to compensate for inflation of costs, etc. during the  time lapsed."

"She was fine. We were working long distance and communication took place via phone and email. I would not ever hire someone long distance again for design work unless I see something on their website that is exactly what I like. She was very responsive though and she provided us with pictures of sample furniture and physical designs. I gave her a 'B' because she didn’t take a lot of time to customize the plan to our style. I expected her to adapt to our style, but instead she tried to make our living room fit her style. She seems to have a look that is her style and we actually asked her re-do the plan a few times before we got something usable. In the end, she is very good at what she does and she is very professional, but her design style doesn’t fit our way of living."

"The work done was great. They are slow on scheduling and not the best about communicating with customers. From initial contact to job completion, it took several months. Granted, there was a lot of work to be done in the area due to hail, but we didn't receive any communication regarding scheduling for a long time. I would call and ask about the date they were to start and was told we were the next project on the list. I would call back the next week with the same response - we were the next on the list - for over a month. They will go to bat for you with insurance companies and know the insurance business very well. Yes, the length of time it took to get the job done was quite a bit longer than I would have liked, the job was done very well and the crew was always very friendly and professional. We would use them again.
