"After paying thousands of dollars to this company to install a sump pump to clear water from my backyard and help to control flooding in the future to prevent a screened porch from flooding, the porch flooded 2 more times. Contacted after the first flood since the pump was installed and received no response. The 2nd time it flooded, I reached out to another company, P&T Land Services who responded quickly. Upon their inspection of the pump installed by Back 2 Basics Restoration, they found that there is no way the pump would EVER have come on because the lid was solid! Not only was it solid, with only a hole for the piping to be attached, but they used lid designed to be used for a utility box for Jacksonville Electric Authority! I also paid them to install new indoor/outdoor carpet in the screen porch that flooded. They did lay the carpet down but did not use any tape or glue to fix it down. When I questioned that, they said I didn't ask for that. The old carpet was taped down"

"I wanted to write about our experiences with Cedrick Jones and Gold Star Adjusters. Our insurance company was planning to not pay us for major damage we sustained during a wind storm that hit our house around Feb 2020. Even though water came into the house and was inside the wall, they told us that the damages were only worth about $2K or so and that it would be a cheap fix and the amount conveniently was below our deductible threshold. Mr. Jones was able to force the insurance company to pay out more than enough money for us to hire professionals to come out and rebuild most of the interior and some of the exterior wall where the water was coming from. If it wasn't for him, we would have been on the hook for several thousands of dollars worth of repairs. Mr. Jones also took the time to look over our insurance policy to make sure that they hadn't hidden high deductibles on other items on our policy to prevent any future surprises. I wanted to let you know that Mr. Jones handled everything above and beyond the normal level of care and professionalism one would expect from an adjuster.
