"We were advised that entire project would take four to five days to complete. Project began on August 21 and was completed on October 10. Don did a great job installing the granite shower and vanity sink. However, Granite Transformation has different vendors for the other jobs, i.e. shower door installation, cabinet refacing, plumbing and we had to hire our own electrician to install a light sold to us by GT. Some of their vendors were late for their appointments for measuring and other prelimary work. The GT office never contacted us to set up any appointments. I had to call to find out what the schedule was. The problems on the job included the plumber coming back to fix leaks caused by improper installation, wrong cabinet doors being sent by supplier and GT ordering wrong fixtures. The major problem that we experienced was Gratine Transformation was their failure to see that the job was done within a reasonable time. Their handling of our project was haphazard and lackadasical. We are pleased with the results but it took a long time to get all aspects of the project completed. Sometimes it seemed like the right hand didn’t know what the left was doing or just didn’t care."

"I bought a special offer (via Angie's List) for HomeMade Design to provide a design for one room in my house.  I was in the process of moving into a new home, organizing it, etc. so really wanted help with some interior design.  But I was so busy that the deal ended up expiring before I could use it.  I contacted HomeMade Design and they told me that all they could do was give me credit for the amount of the deal toward a future purchase.  The thing is, I can't afford their prices (even with the credit), so I ended up throwing money away.  My fault, but I wish the deal could have been a little more flexible in terms of expiration.  We (Homemade Design and I) had never started the project so what difference did it make if we started one year later?  I still need a design and they have the money.....why can't we start now?  Note:  I would have gladly paid a little more to compensate for inflation of costs, etc. during the  time lapsed."

"They came out and they installed the windows. That part went great. They had to leave some stuff open for the inspection. They were supposed to come out and finish up their job. They never did that. The first time we scheduled the call, they never showed up. The second time we scheduled the call, they were 35 - 40 minutes late. I had to cancel that. I've been trying back and forth. They stopped answering my emails. They quickly gone down hill with me. They did a very good job with the windows but they just haven't finished it. It's been a month and a half. They charged me between $6000 - $7000."

He repaired two joints on a family heirloom dining table, first carefully examining the problems, then set about repairing them. Mr Jones not only repaired the table, but used both glue and screws to make it nearly impossible to break again. He showed me the work he did at two joints, explained how he approached it, and offered me the opportunity to look at his work and identify any additional steps I would like to have done. There was no more work needed. As an industrial engineer and business attorney for forty years, I’ve seen some terrible work and also some excellent craftsmen, Mr. Jones is a true craftsman. Because I took possession of the table as a gift of this beautiful antique dining table from my grandmother, I didn’t know much about the table and I’m busy and didn’t take the time to look closely at the table; we just used it as a place for a meal. Mr. Jones surprised me when he pointed out the extensions that were in the table top, and he demonstrated the best and safest way to extend this six-foot long table two more feet in each direction! This was so helpful because we are expecting family during the holidays, and had planned to supplement the table with a card table. Because Mr. Jones took the initiative to explain the hidden features, our table can now seat four additional people, and the card table can stay in the closet! Mr. Jones cleaned the work area, and left for his next client, reminding me that I can call him anytime. I will be using his services again!
