"UPDATED 10/30/2020: This is a revision of the 10/7/20 review. They did refund the overpayment and I'm glad that they have been working to make sure that they fixed the problem. They kept me informed about the schedule and arrived and checked the washing machine and determined that it was not the washing machine but I needed an electrician (When the electrician arrived after extensive searching they discovered that the problem was the sump pump) which has now been repaired). They quoted me a fee for the service call. While they were there I asked them about another appliance I was having trouble with. They took a peek and indicated what they thought was the matter and what would be needed for the repair. They gave me a bill for the quoted repair and I paid it by charge card. I was shocked to see that I was charged double the amount I was quoted when I looked at my credit card statement. I'm not sure if they charged me double because they looked at the other appliance, if it was a mistake or something else but I wish they had informed me that I was being charged more. As for the would I hire again I wish there was a maybe button."

"I wish my first call had been to Eddie and Repair Tech Plus. He fixed my TV after another repair service told me the situation was hopeless if I didn't spend an unreasonable amount of money with them (after, of course, they'd missed their first appointment with me). The best part of dealing with Eddie instead was his professional and friendly approach; he was prompt, on-time, informative, and frank. He always returned phone calls as promised, showed up as agreed. As an authorized technician, he always called the TV company direct if there were any technical issues that needed dealing with. During the initial diagnostic visit, he very honestly talked to me about the cons of repair -- that depending on which component needed to be replaced, it may approach the cost of simply buying a new (albeit smaller) set. I decided to go ahead with the repair anyway, and Eddie did everything he could to make sure we got it repaired efficiently and in a timely manner. I really do wish I hadn't let another repair service waste a week and that I had simply found Repair Tech Plus first. Eddie and RepairTech Plus made what can potentially be a stressful situation comfortable."

"Originally contacted Sam and Sons Services from ad in yellow pages to fix bath tub faucet mechanism that did not allow water to fully come out of faucent, only shower head.  S&S tech said I had to replace the whole faucet and he could not replace just the mechanism.  Hhhmm.  (Ding). The color I had was bronze; he only had chrome.  Hhhhmmm.   (Ding).   S&S charged $302 for just the bath tub faucet part.  Hhhhmmm.   (Ding).  Online research afterward revealed that full bath tub faucet, handles, and shower heads run between $100-$467.  The model S&S sold me was towards the lower end $150, which was fine but I would have liked to be charged that without mark up and pay for the straight labor.  Moreoever, S&S only gave me the tub faucet when the price suggested I paid for shower head and handle too.  Hhhmmm. (Ding).   Tech was very courteous and professional: he identified an out of code bath tub pipe that was plastic that should have been copper.  He replaced and cut me a break with half-price labor, which I liked but kind of confused me with I got jipped on the tub faucet part.  He gave me very clear explanations of how to monitor plumbing pipes for tub that are plastic (hot and cold water from main copper pipe that he replaced).  His tightening of the kitchen sink faucet was flawless.  Bottom-line: didn't like the mark up on parts that corporate office forced on tech (he presented a notebook with corp office's prices).  Unlikely that I will use again, which disappointed me because S&S seems to do various work (electrical, plumbing, handyman work, etc) and I was hoping to find a one-stop shop for my home maintenance needs."

"Had to file a claim for new clothes dryer, and repairs on fridge. Foothills Star Appliance came to look at both. Eric was the repairman. He was friendly, answered all my questions, and very professional. I would highly recommend his company."

"We choose All City through an Angie's Big Deal.  He managed to take off the front of the dryer (eliminating the need to pull it out of a small laundry room), pulled out the drum and checked the band and pulley wheels.  Neither had been replaced since we bought the dryer new when we built the house. 
     He replaced  the parts for $90 and fixed an interior light that had not worked for 10 years (turned out to be a loose cord), greased the places that needed it, put it back together and cleaned up in less than an hour.   
    He also walked through what else might be causing the problem, but said that the band and pulley wheels were the most likely.  He pointed out something in the front of the dryer that might also be the cause, but when I told him that I'm willing to replace that part as well, he suggested that at a cost of $180 or so, he would recommend that I not do this now, but try the existing fix for 3-4 weeks.  If we still hear the noise, call him back and he will order and install the part without any service fee. 
    He also checked the vents and several other items that sometimes go bad, confirmed that all was well and then proceeded to give me 6-7 tips about what I should and should not do with both the dryer and washing machine to make them last.  He also gave me suggested time periods to properly  maintain the washer and dryer.
   He confirmed that these machines last a long time and he would recommend fixing them as long as possible because the new washers and dryers rarely last more than 3-5 years these days. 
   He arrived about 10 minutes early after calling to make sure that this would not be a problem and got right to work.  He cleaned up after himself.  He was articulate and straightforward. 
   The tech was helpful, honest and clearly competent.  I liked him and will call All City the next time I need a major appliance repair.
