"Project went very smoothly from the estimator Josh providing information on total cost, rebates available, and window schematics. The installation crew was punctual, polite, very efficient, and cleaned up the work site each day. Any questions I had were answered very promptly and thoroughly. Very pleased with the much improved appearance and efficiency of my 9 new Milgard vinyl windows."

"Andrew spent almost two hours with us, answering the numerous questions we had, giving us some advice, and sharing his expertise concerning the size and location of the windows. Then, Anthony and his team came about 8 weeks later to install our new windows, everything in two days (creating the new holes in the walls, installing and insulating the windows and adding the trim outside and inside), despite some unexpected problems. Rapid, efficient, accommodating, and very sympathetic, always answering our needs and questions. We are very happy with Jones Window and Door LLC and highly recommend them! Anaïs and Thomas"

"Routine fix. Arrived on time. <br /> Drapery Doctor came recommended by the store from which I purchased all my window treatments. <br /> I have used this company since moving to this present address. They installed all the window treatments in my home. I will not use any other company for this kind of work. They have my complete trust. <br />"

"Bidding process: Tony arrived on-time for the appointment and was very professional. He measured all of the siding and windows and provided a bid at the end of the appointment. He made several recommendations on options that we could do in order to add curb appeal to the house. We were also very impressed with the handout he provided that showed what installation processes his company uses. Window Bid Adjustment: We threw Tony a curveball and asked if he could quote us VPI windows based on a recommendation from an extended family member. It took a little while to find a vendor but he was able to find one and get us a new quote for the windows. Work: The crew arrived and started to remove the siding but left the old tar paper because it was going to rain. They had about half of the siding removed the first day and installed 1 window and the sliding door. They cleaned up the job site at the end of each day. By day 3 they had all siding off and all of the windows installed. After 7 days all of the siding was installed and the light fixtures and outlets were back in. Painting: The painters recommended that the gutters by pressure washed and they came by the next day and washed all of the gutters. A few days later because of rain and a weekend a crew of 4 painters arrived and started. They were done by the time we got back home! Overall: We had a wonderful experience with Revive Exteriors. Everyone was very professional and the communication was great."

"The scheduling and personable service from the beginning were very good. One of the workmen cracked one of the special order windows immediately after installing it, which meant that they had to re-order and come back a week later to re-install. They did so with no complaint. I would have given all A's had we not had that experience. But otherwise, I would recommend these folks highly."

"I just recently had seven windows and one glass sliding patio door installed! I was quite impressed with the whole operation! The windows seem to be extremely well made...they should last for quite some time. I was really impressed with the two workers, Jesus and Jorge, who were sent to my house to do the work. These two guys were the best...great work ethic, and they certainly knew everything about proper installation of the windows. I'd suggest that you ask for them by name. They are obviously quite an asset to the company...they probably deserve some kind of bonus!!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Energy Guard windows to anyone considering the purchase and installation of Milgard windows!"

"The windows are sparkling, the window screens are so clean I can hardly see them, and best of all they are repairing some screens that were damaged, including the sliding glass door screen where I had inexpertly installed a dog door. For being so thorough, they worked fast and were very pleasant and professional. I plan to call them again soon when I’m ready to clean my siding and gutters."

"The experience was great. They gave us a thorough bid for the things we wanted to have done. They sent a very knowledgeable estimator that explained all of our options and potential rebates that would be available to us. We felt confident in the estimator and that he was telling us the truth about our needs and how to satisfy them. The scheduling was easy and they arrived on time and worked proficiently. They did not really disturb us even though they were taking windows out and banging on the side of the house replacing the siding. They finished the job in approximately the amount of time they estimated to do the project. They cleaned up after themselves and when they left we had a house that looked like it had just had a major makeover. We were very pleased. The windows and insulation have made an improvement in our monthly heating and cooling bills. We should have done this sooner. <br />"

"The installation went smoothly. Manny, Carlos and Tyler hadn't installed Lincoln sashes before, but quickly figured out the system and solved problems along the way. The ladder work was impressive--two of the windows were on the third floor."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Salem, OR

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
