"Product was very good, but customer service was awful. Ordered doors in August 2022. However the first door to arrive was damaged. To their credit they did not remove old door and I waited for a replacement. I was offered “compensation” for the long wait. After inquiring, no one ever got back to me with what that compensation would look like. Doors FINALLY installed in April (however no compensation). If financing through the company, read contract carefully!!! The sales person stressed that I would not have to pay until the doors were installed. However I was asked to start paying at the 6 month mark even though I did not have the doors. Had to dispute the payment."

"Sales and installation were done top notch, without high pressure sales. Just follow up for measurements and ensuring accuracy of what is wanted, and accurate ordering. Measurement and installation crew were accurate, timely and meticulous on the installation which had some challenging openings from the existing brick around the previous windows. They didn’t rush over areas that gave some difficulties but did it right the first time. I would recommend Zen Windows for anyone looking for quality window company for replacement windows."

"Doing business with Johnny and Sonny’s Glass has been a pleasure. They came out and gave us a quote. There were no high-pressure sales tactics to sell us more than what we needed. We purchased new windows and solar screens. We are thrilled with the result. They showed up when they said they would show up and they completed the job within a couple of weeks. Their prices are fantastic. Between their prices and professionalism I believe they are the best class company in San Antonio."

"This business is dishonest and totally unreliable. Accepted payment but did NO work. Promised a refund and dodged us at every turn. It's been almost a year and we have not received and repayment. They have totally ghosted us and will not answer calls, emails or texts. Am working with the SA PD now. "

"South Texas Glass was very professional and efficient. A representative called me the day after I requested a quote through the Angie's List website. The representative told me how much the window replacement would cost and scheduled an appointment for only two days' later. The technicians showed up on time and were friendly, professional and efficient. The price was exactly what had been quoted to me. It was refreshing to work with a company that actually acted like it wanted and valued my business and my time. I would definitely use this company again."

FAQs for new windows service projects in San Antonio, TX

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
