"Foundations On The Level does excellent work. The job involved raising and stabilizing my house through the installation of 31 helical piers. A prior owner had tried to do the job with an unlicensed contractor and no building permits. That made my job even more difficult, but Foundations On The Level was able to handle it."

Small jobs welcome

"Their technician did an excellent inspection job: he crawled under the house, took photos, and did a very precise measurement of the house level. However, Saber doesn't replace steel girders under what are called "Princess homes". They can do jack replacement and leveling, but first I need a rusted steel girder replaced, for which I must hire a different foundation contractor."

"I hired Dalinghaus Construction to install two push Piers for a freestanding column/wall (bad clay soil causing movement). I meet with Kevin to go over the scope of work and he explained everything in detail. The price was the best I can find. Took one extra day to finish the work, but they did not charge me any additional fees. 3 month later, I had a feeling that the column/wall is moving again and call Kevin. He show up in a few days and show me there is no way that wall is still moving and he was right. They are very good at what they do and customer service is the best. Thank you very much."

"Parker Concrete helped us to create the backyard of our dreams with their hardscaping. Dave was extremely prompt and friendly. He also gave us the idea for the seating wall to be more angular and this works great for entertaining. They continued the acid washed concrete pavers all the way down our very wide side yard and also built the shed pad. Drainage was installed in various places as well. Everything was timely and we felt like we were in very capable and trustworthy hands. Work actually began while we were in Kauai but everyone was communicative and thorough. We plan on re-paving our long driveway and will call on Parker Concrete for sure. Landscaping and gravel was completed by another landscaper."

"We had R.A.D. Construction come out during inspections while we were purchasing our home. It's a nearly 100-year-old house, so we wanted to make sure the foundation was in good shape and also wanted to see what it would take to get the home earthquake retrofitted. We had a slight crack in our foundation, as well needed post and piers put in, and we also decided to go ahead and have the house earthquake retrofitted. Throughout the process - from the original inspection + quote, scheduling the work, and the two weeks of work itself - Manny, Diana, Michael, and the entire team were such a joy to work with. They were always prompt to reply to any questions we had, finished everything ahead of schedule, and the structural engineer who inspected the work after they were finished certified the work as top notch. I cannot recommend R.A.D. Construction highly enough. They are consummate professionals as well as a wonderful bunch of folks. "

"I have Mirage maple wood floors and I've used Joe twice in the past 5 years or so to repair, replace, sand, re-coat and weave new wood with old wood. Joe and his crew really know their stuff and do a great job. Communication, advice, price and final outcome have been absolutely spot on. Would hire Joe again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend calling Joe if you're thinking about doing any wood floor project."

"Not applicable since they don't work in this area - I did have an review (excellent) for tree trimming and pruning by the Tree Barber and they said that the comments on Angie's List showed them as the sprinkler control valve repair company with a negative review - this is a mistake on your list. The Tree Barber did an excellent job and not involved in sprinkler control valve repairs. The other company on your list of three who does sprinkler control valve repairs called, but never showed up. Please correct the error for the Tree Barber. And I will still continue to use Angie's List. Best, Bill Beeson"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in San Diego, CA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
