"It’s so nice to have a pool service that does everything, pool cleaning with care and repair. We have had several pool companies at our home but LeRichce Pool & Spa is honest & fair. We like how they run their business."

"Would highly recommend Brushed Pool & Spa! We are first time pool owners and Sean has been extremely helpful with walking us through the steps to using our pool equipment and always responsive to any questions we have. Recently we had an experience with yellow mold, Sean knew exactly what to do and was able to treat it quickly so our family could enjoy the pool. Our lab also enjoys the weekly service and play date!"

"The electrician was on time.  Finished the work ahead of estimate.  The outlet was in the kitchen.  He put down a cloth to protect the work area and cleaned up when he left.  It's all working great.  Would definitely recommend this electrical service for this type of work.

"It took less than two months from contract signing until the system was up and running with permit and SDGand E approval. They got me a $1400.00 rebate which I did not expect. The $29,900 cost was $31,300 paid to the contractor less the $1400 rebate. Then I took the 30% federal tax credit, bringing my net cost after tax credit down to $20,930. This cost per kilowatt hour of annual production may be higher than for some systems both because of my non-optimal roof orientation and because 34 microinverters are more expensive than say, two central inverters. Secure Home Improvements does not push leasing as some contractors do. Leasing PV Solar, like leasing cars, is a bad deal if you can finance yourself and use the tax benefits. The warranty issue involved one panel/inverter combination, whose output dropped to 2/3 of the output of neighboring panel/inverter combinations. They could have argued that the overall output of the system was within warranty specs, but Dave Moore went to considerable trouble to replace both the inverter and the panel at no cost to me for labor or material, thus bringing that combo up to the performance of neighboring combos.

"

I have a two story house 1900 sq. ft.  The cleaning service consisted of two people to clean the whole housefor four hours.  I asked them to concentrate on my kitchen and bathrooms. The Kitchen cabinets had gonk and grease they're so gross and sticky from the previous home owner and I wanted them to really concentrate on those.

The cabinets were 50% better than before. I think these cabinets will unfortunately have to be salvaged and I think they did the best they could with the products they were working with.  The bathrooms were cleaned well.  I specifically asked if they would move the furniture( sofa, bed etc) and vacuum under them but that was not done- and I hardly have furniture, I didnt think it would be too much to ask.
Items that were on counters were cleaned and miscellaneous items were just stacked or placed in little butter cups they found around the kitchen.  The service did not include interior window cleaning or stove and refrigerator cleaning.  Those services were extra.
Overall, I was satistified with the service provided.

"The service was fine. I had talked to several companies we basically talked about the process. It takes some time from the city of L.A and the department of water and power. I just had the panels turned on a week and a half ago. I did not receive a bill. It was informed that it would take a while. They were fine. They were laid back and not pushy at all. It was a good price and there were a lot of moving parts. They were here when they said they would be."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

FAQs for swimming pool or accessories repair or service projects in San Marcos, CA

A well-maintained, correctly sized pump lasts eight to 12 years. Help it reach the upper end of that range by cleaning the strainer basket, monitoring for unusual sounds, and verifying that the pump’s flow rate matches the filter's specifications. Address leaks or pressure dips quickly—minor fixes now cost far less than a premature replacement later.

Listen for grinding or screeching, watch for breaker trips, and keep an eye on sudden spikes in your electric bill—any one of these signals the pump needs attention. If repairs continue to accumulate or the unit is older than eight years, replacement often makes more financial sense. Contact a qualified pool repair professional immediately to diagnose the issue and prevent further damage to the filter or plumbing.

It’s best to keep your pool pump on while swimming. Keeping the pump on while you swim allows the filter and skimmers to catch debris in real-time, maintaining water features flowing. It’s not mandatory, but weaving swim time into your regular eight-to-12-hour schedule helps maintain crystal-clear water and consistent chemical levels without extra effort.

Start by shutting off the power at the breaker and verifying with a voltage meter. Close the water valves, bleed pressure, and unbolt the old pump. Wire the new unit according to the manufacturer's diagram, glue in the PVC unions, prime the housing, and tighten everything securely. Open the valves, flip the breaker, and watch for steady water flow and quiet operation. If any step feels beyond your expertise, consider hiring a licensed electrician or pool technician.
