"Excellent. Terry took the time to go over issues found and what was done to correct. They showed up as expected. Will definitely be hiring them again in the future when I replace my furnace."

"The gas insert had additional issues that could not be fixed by the technician. No fault of his own just a classic example of you get what you pay for.  I had to replace the insert at a later date and remove everything he did.  If I knew that he could not get it lit, then I would not of had the service done. <br />"

"The install went very well. They showed up on time and kept us well informed as to what they were doing and how long it would take. The only real problem was a discrepancy in what was supposed to be on the quote and what was on the actual quote. This unfortunately resulted in a couple of things being left off the quote and subsequently were not done. Make sure you read your quote thoroughly! The other problem was the placement of the exhaust vent on the front of the house instead of through the roof. Not real happy with a big white cone sticking out of the front wall of my dark green house."

"Brandon came to check out a leaking kitchen sink and a leak in the tub/shower. He quickly ascertained the problems and indicated he could take care of both right away because he had the needed parts in his van. The kitchen sink needed a new garbage disposal (due to damaged seals) and tub leak was due to a loose drainpipe connection. Brandon completed both jobs in under an hour, explained what he had done (which was also written out on the service form), told us about the company's various discounts for which we might be eligible, and explained the company's year warranty on his work. It was a very good experience and the price charged was more than fair (especially after the 10% discount). Highly recommended. <br />"

"Very well! They explained that due to how our house was built they would need to cut access areas to get to the plumbing. They cut the smallest accesses they were able to and still get to the plumbing. They were very personable and efficient. They finished within approximately 20 minutes of their arrival. Job well done. Will definitely hire again."

"Chuck was the third service we had come out and give a quote; he was the only one who bothered to climb up onto our tricky-to-access roof to check the chimney. He confirmed that the roofers' work was excellent and that while eventually our cap will need to be replaced it isn't the source of the water and identified a ventilation vent as the likely source of the water. This meant no work for him to do, so we didn't hire him for a chimney job, but I would definitely hire him again to look at a chimney issue & trust that he'll give us an honest & thorough assessment."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Sand-creek, MI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
