"Alex, the owner of Castillo Constructions, is just such a sweet and lovely guy. I was struggling with the fact that the garage doors on my home in Oregon were starting to fall off. The wood had rotted. The rental management company that handles my property came back with an insane quote of almost $9,000 to replace the carriage doors. My "only other option," they told me, was to replace the carriage doors with an electric garage door. But the carriage doors were one of the details that gave such character to my home. I explained this to Alex. At first, his bid was not far from the original one I had received. But when I explained to him that I really couldn't pay that much, he went back to the drawing board. "I don't usually write reviews online, but in this situation I cannot help myself. I was blown away by Mark's responsiveness and work ethic. I venture to say that Mark is faster, smarter, more efficient, and more detail-oriented than most any contractor. I was in a desperate situation (had to fire another contractor for unfortunate reasons and NEEDED our only tub replaced and bathroom tiled so my fiancé could use it to recover from surgery in a few days). Mark problem-solved quickly, told me to buy a new tub, and came over Friday at 5 after his regular work day to help me get the tub replaced in under 2 hours. After asking his wife first (classy), he offered to work over the weekend to get the job done. We worked side by side to knock out the bathroom in 2 very long days. Being a new home owner, I was jazzed to learn how to tile and Mark was an excellent leader and teacher. Honestly, I could go on and on. This guy is for real. He's professional, skilled, and efficient as all get out. I'm sure he isn't perfect, but I think you'd be very hard pressed to find a better skilled or more enjoyable contractor in the area. "

I purchased a Deal in February, but due to unforeseen delays was not able to use the deal until July.  Everyone I spoke with at SL Green was understanding of the delays in scheduling and very helpful.  I sent pictures of my projects via email and received timely responses. When the two man crew, Brian and Rich, arrived, they were on time and ready to work.  We first discussed the projects to make sure we were all on the same page and then they got to work.  The communication skills, work ethic, knowledge, and professionalism of Rich and Brian were amazing.  They both had a "can do" attitude and made sure all projects were completed to our satisfaction.  It was a pleasure having them work in our home and we would not hesitate to hire SL Green for any other projects.  Overall it was one of the best experiences in our months of remodeling.
