"The job was done quickly. The plumber installed a new garbage disposal, fixed the sink faucet issue another plumber said was unfixable, and repaired a toilet. He was polite, efficient and cleaned up after himself thoroughly."

"We had roots growing through the pipes stopping up our plumbing. It took my warranty co. 3 weeks and 3 different plumbers to conclude they don't handle root issues. This company came out cleared the roots and also repaired the other slow flushing toilet. He was very thorough in his investigation; We will have them back out with a camera to further review the main "root" of the problem. Very thankful for the prompt and professional assistance."

"I called Danny at Flowrite for a price quote for a water heater replacement. His price was in the bottom part of the range ($1240) and he included all parts and permits. One other company was $1100., but after reading the terrable Angies List review, It would not be choosen. Another quote was $1165 and a couple more were $1400-1500. His price is good, but I did not use his services. He is very friendly and helpful. After talking to him and describing my hot water proplems, he said that my problem was most likely a hot water leak under the concrete slab and didn't want to waste my money and then have an unhappy customer. He told me to make sure that all water faucets were off and then check the water meter for indications of flow. The meter was still turning. Then I turned off the valve to the water heater and the flow stopped. I called Danny back and he told me to call American Leak Detection. They located the leak and provided an estimate to fix it. I called Danny back for the third time because he said that he may save me some money with the repair. We discussed the facts of the problem (large hole in 35 year old galvanized pipe located under a cabinet and wall with previous water softner salts in the water) and the price quotes that I had obtained. He said that Under those circumstances, he would not recommend the pipe repair, but to replumb the hot pipes. One quote was from an out -of-town company that has offices all over other parts of California and Nevada but not in Fresno, and has very good Angies List reviews. They are very specialized and only do complete water pipe replacement. Danny said that he could not compete with their price and didn't think anyone else in Fresno could either. He advised me to have Repipe 1 do the job. They will repipe the entire hot and cold pipes including all the exter hose bibs for $4250. Other bids and information from other people that had this same work done indicate that the typical price would be $7000-8000. This is a very long story especially since I didn't buy the water heater from Flowrite. I feel greatfull to Danny for all his help and guidance and I think It demonstrates his honesty and desire to help people and his customers and his price quote for the water heater was also good. <br />"

"They came out and looked at the area and question. As it turned out it was the drain on the water softener that was continually leaking into the drain in the wall behind the washing machine. They took of the hose and showed me what the issue was and told me I needed to contact Culligan to get the water softener fixed. They were there about 20 minutes and did not charge me a dime. I would call them again should I have a plumbing problem. <br />"

"They did an amazing job. Had a few other guys tell me they could not clear the drain, and they wanted to dig up my bathroom. Chico’s plumbing was persistent, and got it done. They also left the work area spotless when they left. Would highly recommend!"

"It was ok. I spoke to the guy on the phone before going in a few days later. In person he tried to charge me $60 more for the diagnostic than what he quoted on the phone. He dropped to the quoted price once I mentioned it."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Santa Maria, CA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
