"Nick was very knowledgeable as he presented type of windows and cost estimate without pressure to buy. Trent, installer, was on time and left area cleared of debris. Quite some time after installation we had some water intrusion around windows. Nick was my first contact for information, came the same day and pinpointed the problem, which was not the windows at all. GREAT service!!"

"I have been a homeowner since 1977 and have undertaken many contractor-related projects. This project with Holliday Home Improvements was one of the best. Outstanding sales support from Jason with an on-time, minimally-intrusive and truly professional installation process from Mike and his team. This is definitely a contractor that should be considered for your home improvement project!"

"We would not recommend - the best priced quote is not always the best: <br /> Even though the company says they will cover the Beaufort area, we got the feeling that they preferred not to install windows here  If our property was in the Savannah area, we may have had a different experience. <br /> It was tough getting the office to return our phone calls.  Why so much advertising if your office personnel can?t handle it?? Decrease the advertising budget a bit and hire an additional assistant. <br /> The salesperson is a bit negative, but he does appear to know his stuff.  In April, after getting several other quotes, we choose this company because the price was right and they seemed to understand what we wanted and needed compared to the other quotes. <br /> We scheduled installation for September, and were told to follow-up in late July to ensure our window order goes in (thinking back, red flag - why wouldn?t they have just called me in July?) <br /> Contacted them in late July, and after a few weeks of back and forth run-around, we were told they couldn?t do our windows due to a lawsuit with Home Depot with our HOA.  Our HOA has no knowledge of a lawsuit with Home Depot and Window World never even contacted them.  I'm guessing this was just their story to back out from doing work in our area; we wish they would just not quote and schedule installations if they don't want to do work here.  <br /> This review is based on our experience with service only, and not the actual product. <br />"

"It was a wonderful experience working with Savannah Blinds Shutters & Shades! From start to finish, it could not have gone better! All along the way, I felt listened to, informed and satisfied. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. My installation team of Daniel, Ricky & Josh were wonderful - an A+ team! They were very skilled, helpful, friendly and kept me informed along the way. They had to get a bit creative because come of my window casings were not squared up. They talked with me about their ideas and I was extremely pleased with the results. The entire process could not have gone better. You can't go wrong with this company and this installation team!"

"From the first phone conversation of quotes, and then purchasing of the materials, installation, to finishing the project, Pro Renovation folks have been nothing but excellent.  And the installer took all the trash after the work and left my house spotless! <br /> They were truly genuine and looked for ways to save money for me (told me where I can find the best prices for the material), also told me to buy extra flooring so if there was any water damage, I will have the material to replace it quickly.   And they were right! Only after a few months, we had water damage on the wood floor, they quickly responded and did the repair.   <br /> My experience with Simon, Kate, and Tony has been wonderful.  This family owned business is absolutely great to work with!  I highly recommend Pro Renovation for all flooring needs. <br />"

"We had never undertaken a renovation project like this, so the most important thing to us, other than finding someone who would do excellent work, was finding a contractor we could trust. From my first phone call with Rickey Greer (who personally answered every call and almost never missed a single call or text), I knew we were dealing with a pro who would be completely straight with us about all aspects of the project. To be honest, I probably wasn't the easiest customer RNR ever worked with! I'm a bit of a control freak and wanted to be able to handle all of the purchasing of materials, from cabinets and flooring to tile and fixtures -- everything. Seeing that we were trying to do a major renovation on a tight budget, Rickey was willing to give up the mark-up that contractors typically expect on materials so that we could afford to do the project at all. But as far as the quality of the work, there was no cutting corners! Rickey, his partner Will Hudson, and their entire team are the biggest group of perfectionists I've ever met. That meant they were always willing to work with me to be sure every aspect of the renovation was exactly what I wanted. The quality of the craftsmanship was simply exceptional, from carpentry and painting to plumbing and electrical. No matter who was in my house, I was confident in the skills, expertise and professionalism they brought to the job -- and it shows. The house looks absolutely amazing (see before and after photos attached). You don't spend two months working with a team of people without getting to know them beyond the typical, day-to-day small talk. A reno project like ours meant daily contact with the guys from RNR, often followed up with chatty phone calls with Rickey in the evening to plan for the next day or week. We had the pleasure to discover that Rickey and Will -- as well as Rickey's dad, electrician Rick Greer, are some of the best people we've met in Savannah. These guys have big personalities and sarcastic senses of humor that keep you entertained, and their attitude is, once you're a customer, you're part of their extended family. They went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied with our renovated home, but more than that, to bring fresh peaches, give us advice about finding our way around town, and generally offer friendship and support. (The other day, I found myself at a traffic light next to Marvin, our master carpenter. We chatted till the light turned green. I miss those guys!) It's not like we didn't have issues or hit snags along the way. This was a huge project, there were delays (my fault, mostly, because of the time it took to get the cabinets I bought online), and as my husband likes to tell people, "I gave her an unlimited renovation budget and she managed to surpass it." But our budget overage was essentially a product of our inexperience and the desire to make upgrades along the way. As for RNR, they gave us a price, we signed a contract, and that's exactly what we paid, to the penny. Funny enough, the best illustration I can give of RNR's extraordinary customer service isn't our renovation, but Rickey's response to Hurricane Matthew. As a Facebook friend of Rickey's, I was able to join in on his Facebook live-tour of the city on Oct. 8 as he drove from home to home, checking to be sure his customer's residences made it through okay. His reassurances to customers/friends who had evacuated revealed a heart of gold and a willingness to extend himself for others. Be warned: The guys from RNR are a couple of good ole boys and Rickey's got a colorful vocabulary. But they're two of the hardest working people you'll ever meet and they'll give you everything they've got. Looking forward to working with them again!"

"These were four Peachtree Sliding doors that were installed when our home was built in mid 80's. As it was nearly impossible to open them without some strength behind it, we thought we were going to have to replace them. <br /> We decided to contact Mr. Hodges to see if the doors could be repaired. He returned our call promptly and came out to look at doors. Not only was he prompt, he was very honest and said that replacing rollers would help he thought, although given the age and condition of doors there was no guarantee. We opted to try as his quote was reasonable. <br /> He arrived promptly...did the work within the time frame he quoted and for the amount he quoted. Very pleased as the doors glide effortlessly... Thanks to Mr. Hodges honesty (he could have sold us new doors!) we can take new doors off the list of repairs. <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Savannah, GA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
