"Justin and the crew at Set in Stone are great to work with. Very professional and conscious as well as nice guys. I highly recommend! Our outdoor BBQ is beautiful. Recently they did some repairs to my kitchen undermount sink granite surround. It is smooth again. Thanks Set in Stone! Looking forward to working with you again when we remodel our bathrooms."

"We thought that Jason and his assistant did a GREAT job! They had so many obstacles (getting to the rocks, size of the rocks, bamboo roots, gettining to the back of the yard, etc.) to deal with when doing this job. They were so careful with all of our plants and getting their equipment in and around. We were very appreciative! They seemed to be able to handle the backhoe very expertly in a very tight spot. They were polite and friendly and worked the whole time. We were extremely happy with their work and would call them again!!!"

"Remodeling a kitchen is a pretty major under taking, and was quite an investment for us, so we wanted to go with someone we felt confident with, and after our first meeting with Jerry and Issac, (a meeting totally set around our schedule, btw) we felt like a team. Often, with contractors, after everything is signed you never see the owners again. Not the case with PPB, the owners, and project manager were there everyday, checking in, and documenting the progress. Speaking of progress, our full-kitchen remodel was finished 4 weeks ahead of schedule, and included many cool features and ideas they included in the design. PPB also greatly minimized the pain-in the butt that goes with having major construction done about ten feet from your bedroom. They sectioned off the entire work area with double sided tarp, and had lock box, so we had a lot of privacy and relatively little dust through out the job, (and left the place every night way cleaner than it was before we hired them). This kind of endeavor is never easy, there's always problems, and they handled all of them with ease and grace. (At least on our end) In fact for us, that's one of the best qualities about PPB is that they soak up all the headaches involved in a project of this scope; permits, inspections, a multitude of (borderline unreasonable) requests from their clients, all taken care of with a "no problem" attitude. And our kitchen looks better than we ever imagined. Highly recommend."

"

We hired Prestige Design to build a retaining wall so we could level our back and side yard .The

whole process from design work and suggestions by Sarah, help with block selection from Doug , to completion of the project  went well. Work actually started ahead of schedule and was finished in three days. The crew did an excellent construction job and consulted with us about our preferences on corner design and wall height by the driveway. The crew did a good job of cleaning up. We have received many compliments by neighbors and passers by on the look and quality of the wall.

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Scappoose, OR

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
