"
He has done a custom-built closet, which turned out beautiful. He also has completely gutted and remodeled a downstairs bathroom. It turned out beautiful. We bought our hot tub from him when he was in the hot tub business. We have had the hot tub for 16 years. He does very good work and is pretty knowledgeable, but one has to have patience with him because he gets off in different directions sometimes. I put up with it because I like what he does. Some people might be a little bugged because sometimes he says he will be back tomorrow, but then doesn't show up until several days later. The only issue I have with him is his timeliness. He is working on my deck right now. He is repairing where I have a 100-year-old tree that grew and put a hole in the deck and buckled it up. We are just getting started on that project. For us he has done carpentry, plumbing -- he installed all the toilets and did all the plumbing work. He is also a licensed electrician so he has done electrical work and you name it -- deck work. He is kind of a jack of all trades. Right now I know he is working on someone's basement, supporting steel beams and all that stuff. That is why he has not finished my deck work because he is busy with the basement. He also put in our garbage disposal for us. That guy has done so much I can't remember everything. I have been dealing with him, probably, 20 years plus. On the fence his cost was about $3,000 and the materials were the other $3,000. He will save people money because he has the customer buy the materials after he tells them what he needs. He takes no markup in the materials. He even went with me when I bought the materials for the fence. He only charges you for his labor. I have several other project for him to do including putting on a garage roof.
"

"The job was started by removing kitchen cabinet doors, range hood, range top, and kitchen sink. Then the dirty work began. While one worker stripped the cabinets and got them ready for refinishing,(in the garage) another worked at removing the solar bricks from the kitchen floor with something akin to a jackhammer. During this work, there was a lot of dust, but they sealed off the rest of the house with plastic sheeting so we could continue to live here while they worked. The refinishing also required a lot of sanding which created more dust. Each evening they cleaned up their mess before they went home (a giant plus in my estimation!)

All three of them worked at removing the whole house fan and enclosing the area. They helped us decide on the texture to be used on the indoor walls and then began to do the work required in the dining room to finish the wall where the fan had been. They repainted the north dining room wall and remudded and painted the other walls. We decided to continue the texture into the hallway and up into the loft so they did that. They also helped us pick out paint colors to go on the walls. The walls required three coats of materials/paint before they were finished and this was where we saw the biggest difference in getting to a finished product.
The stairway was stripped and prepared for varnishing; when the stairs were varnished we had to stay over night in a motel to get away from the smell and because we couldn't get downstairs to the bedroom!

One of the workers installed the tile on the kitchen counter and the tile above the kitchen counters. With the help of one of the other workers, he cut the pattern and installed the new vinyl cushioned floor covering in the kitchen.(I have arthritis and needed more cushion for standing.) After the floor and walls were done they installed the sink and the range top and we were set to go.
We were very pleased with their work and have recommended them to many others, who have also used their services. They are very professional and accommodating when they work for you. The price is reasonable and the work is excellent!
"

"I called three companies for quotes to add insulation to our home. Heritage Builders was by far the most professional. He even called to follow up with me on our bids. We did not use him, because he was a bit pricier but not by much. As a women, I felt he took me and my questions seriously and filled out all the forms promptly. He will definitely be added to my phone list for future work. "

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Scott City, KS

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
