"We engaged Better Living Patio and Sunrooms of Pittsburgh to transform our screened in porch into a four-season room. Our primary goal was the creation of a space where our grandchildren could play in the sunroom while we remained in our home. We planned to talk with them and visit through a window, since we are both at high risk for COVID due to cancer. I asked that the room be complete by Thanksgiving, but, as November dates became closer to the holiday, it appeared we would not meet the date. I appealed to our salesperson, Anthony, who connected me with the owner, Ray Hepp. Mr. Hepp was extremely helpful, moving quickly to obtain back orders (due to COVID) and assigning his team to finish the room before the holiday. We love our new room! Because of Mr. Hepp's integrity and kindness, we were able to share not only Thanksgiving, but also Christmas holidays with our family while maintaining the distance we need to remain safe. "Pro Home & Sunroom did come and resolve the issues that had been left unattended. We were contacted by a new crew, led by Bobby who came and assessed the various problems, and discussed solutions. Bobby was in constant contact with us, always arrived on time and never cut any time short in completing the work. Bobby did beautiful detail work, really went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. James also worked with Bobby and he also did a very good job of fixing various problems that the original crew left behind. Rick Edwards did follow up to make sure we were satisfied with the work being done. On the outside they removed the bottom layer of brick, sealed and put flashing in, replaced brick, put a stone trench around the outside to help with water, replaced broken bricks, cleaned up mortar joints, insulated the top of the sliding doors, fixed caulking around windows, replaced broken patio tile. On the inside they removed the water damaged pine knee wall, trim, MDF underlayment, baseboard, and shoe mold. Sealed the bottom of the wall then replaced everything with new materials. We are now left with the beautiful Sunroom we had originally envisioned and were promised, thanks to Bobby and James"

They were on time, professional and when the job called for more than what was on our agreement, they just did it without asking for more money or time. They did what was right to stabilize my hill. Additionally, the project was challenging as there was a small space to work and a huge hill. They took on the challenge! It looks so fantastic. They scraped up my existing paver patio a little and instead of just turning the bricks over they put in all new.... I also got a whole new paver patio - WOW! These guys are a top notch class act without high prices! I love love love my backyard now! They rock! I will be selecting them again if I need any more work - walls, landscaping, hardscaping."

"Steve was thorough in his discussions about the project. I'm usually pretty detailed about projects and think things through. Steve would bring things up that I hadn't thought of and my wife and I appreciated the time he took. He also considered that there were several options for our design to choose from and he walked us through the pros and cons. For example, the way that lights would be spaced on our wall between windows and doors was not technically even, but looked good given the spacing of those openings. Also, he showed us a couple of options for the size and spacing of slats for our roof vent so we could preview it before it was created.
Steve does not run a big company, so you get really personalized service. He is part of the projects as they happen. This also means that his availability to do projects varies. But, he is proactive about his availability and once he starts a job he and his team are on-site until it's finished.
This was our second or third project with him. At the beginning, he installed a sliding door and a pair of doors with sidelights that open onto our patio. These were installed about five years ago and we love them. In fact, he has done almost all the outside work on our house over the last five years, including unanticipated problem areas. Would highly recommend Steve for a job."

"The first group went pretty well, only a minor issue or so which we then were prepared to avoid in the second installation. But, the second group was not the same experience and if we would have known this, we would have gone with another company who sold the same window. There were issues from being hounded to upgrade this group to having to contact the company as communication was poor once the order was placed to final payment questions and now a total blowing off the problem. There are product problems from a screen which was cut during installation which was promised to get a replacement in a few weeks to two window sections that have a coating issue which nothing has been done at all about resolving this. It is now 5 weeks and the last communication was a couple weeks ago that the screen was not in yet which we had to continuing try to get a response from the owner Rod McCullough just for this information. Rod needs to stand behind the products he sells and realize customers do not want to hear about his internal problems."
