"I would like to take a moment and let you know how wonderful my experience was with Walter Renovations LLC and Matt Walter in particular. From start to finish, Matt went above and beyond in the building of our dream house in Wildwood Crest at the New Jersey Shore. He is so very professional and knowledgeable in his field, and also very personable (hard to find these days in the Construction industry, lol). We can’t mention enough how professional Matthew was from start to finish. In the beginning, he sat down with us and presented a great deal of information. He informed us of his credentials as a builder, the company information, and lots of information on our home and comparisons in the area. (He was one of 6 builders we interviewed and got prices from). He made a recommendation based on his expertise and experience (he lives in Cape May county too) at the shore and we were impressed so we went with Matthew. We liked the fact that he was up on the latest technology and up to date with building standards, codes, and everything to do with Cape May. We visited some of the homes he built or renovated and they also raved about him. As a homeowner, we relied heavily on the input from him and he always led us in the right direction. We felt very comfortable with the way he handled every detail. He built the home eficiently and swiftly, and neighbors spoke with him and also took down his information for future building renovations, large or small. Our home sits on a cozy street in the "Crest", and is one of the prettiest in the neighborhood. He is such a personable and friendly individual he made us feel very comfortable from beginning to the end. We didn’t hesitate to contact him and will do so with future services. He always answered our questions in the friendliest manner (I know I had some silly questions). He is always very pleasant and smiling. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Matt Walter and his company Walter Renovations LLC to our family, friends, neighbors, or colleagues. We know that he would treat them with the same professionalism and top notch service that he extended to us. Mark Gerwald, from Wildwood Crest"

"Duane's people replaced the roof and all rotten wood, then then put siding and capping on the shed to match the house which they had done earlier. They put capping at the window to stop any future leakage. Everything went great and it looks like a totally new shed. for less than it would of cost me to tear it down and buy a new one."

"To give context for this review, I have a three-story stone Victorian that had been poorly maintained for years and needed many repairs. Damon has been working on my house for most of the past year and a half. My relationship with him started when I asked him to do some emergency repairs on a window on the third floor of my house. It was getting into the coldest part of winter and I had the window boarded up as best as I could. Damon was the only contractor willing to do the work as it was a fairly small job. He showed up on time, did the job well and charged me what I expected. That sentence might sound simple, but so many contractors fail in one or more of those three areas. I was so happy with my first experience with Damon, I hired him to work on the exterior of my house. Over the summer, he spent four months on a lift doing a complete repointing and partial rebuild of several walls and chimney that were falling apart, carpentry that included rebuilding rotted architectural elements, windows surrounds and rooflines, metal fabrication, and painting. I already knew he was a hard worker, charged fair prices and knew what he was doing, but over the summer I learned that he was skilled in a wide range of trades, knew many people in the trades that he could call in to get help, and is a creative problem solver and trusted advisor. I do not have an unlimited budget, and there were many times that Damon consulted me with a concern that might have been quite expensive, but he was able to figure out an adequate solution to keep the maintenance up, but not break the bank. After the success of the summer, I engaged Damon to stay and work on a complete break down and rebuild of my kitchen. Again, to understand Damon's skill you must understand my house and the seemingly infinite number of hidden problems you will find when doing any major work. Throughout this project, Damon was able to show his skill in electrical work, plumbing, finish carpentry, and a commitment to fit and finish that left us with a true show kitchen. He kept me informed all along the way of any roadblocks or challenges along the way and together we were able to figure out budget conscious solutions that looked amazing. I could go on for a while with specific reasons why Damon will be my contractor for the future, but the bottom line is he is a smart, hard-working, knowledgeable contractor that takes responsibility your project from beginning to end."

"I discovered James Hardie siding on Instagram. I dm’d the company to find local providers. They had two companies contact me to quote pricing. I chose Gunner because they came to me prepared. Prior to my quote they sent me a link for an app to download to my cell. Using the app camera I took a variety of pictures of the exterior of my house which enabled them to measure for pricing. When they came to me to quote the job, they presented to me the benefits of James Hardie, but then there was a solid quote right then for the project, with additional add-on pricing for embellishments. I had all the info right there, on the spot. They left a sample of siding colors. I signed a few days later. I had a clear idea of pricing and their plan for proceeding with the project. My house had vinyl siding that was probably installed in the ‘80s. It was brittle and breaking. During the “ripping” phase (removing existing siding) there was a lot of wood rot (plenty of pics texted to me during the entire process) that was replaced with new sheets of wood. Also discovered were entry points for mice (an on going problem that I have always battled), and I was told that this job would close up those entry points (problem solved!). The “wrapping” part of the process was when they put Hardie wrap over the wood sheet, but before the siding. Then installing the siding went pretty quickly. I chose Iron Gray for the siding, and Arctic White for the trim and water table. My property was left in better condition after the project compared to prior. All Gunner employees were very responsive (I prefer texting), and very easy to work with. I feel that the pricing was very much in line with the competition. This was a huge job. I was very anxious about my decisions. Now that the project is done, I am thrilled. Gunner was one of the best decisions I have made, to date."

"It went great!  Barry did a first rate job.   He has done a variety of work at our home - installed window, storm door, gutter cleaning and installation of gutter guards.  Always charges a fair price.  A pleasure to do business with. <br />"

"I had Surf and Turf provide me with an estimate to have my skylight replaced. They did a great job measuring the opening and finding the perfect match. There was little to no cleanup to do on the inside as they placed a tarp below the opening. I will highly recommend them to all of my friends and family!"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Sea Isle City, NJ

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
