"Mike was very helpful to come out to do a free diagnosis. His diagnosis was not correct though. He said it was the fan going bad and a contaminate or moisture in the Freon and Possibly a valve needing replaced. Possibly from the installation. He would have charged me $60 per pound of Freon, and was quoted to do all that needed would be in the range of $1800. This caused me to find the original installation company. They told me it was not under warranty, but if it needed Freon and vacuuming out of Freon. They would charge me $87 labor diagnosis and $10 per pound of Freon. So I decided to have them come. They quickly diagnosed it. It was not the fan. The rattling was from the Freon not going through properly. He did have it right that it was indeed the txv valve. He was not correct that the Freon needed changed. The company I had come out knew exactly the problem. Was able to replace the txv valve for $300 which included the labor. Thanks to community heating and ac in Lincoln de it is working properly. All in all though Mikes coming out for free was appreciated and really did help to come to my final conclusion to call the original installation company."
