"In our three bedrooms, Switch Electric installed new electrical ceiling boxes, appropriate controls, and ceiling fans (with lights). We also had them convert three outlets from being switched to unswitched. Also, in one room, we had them add a dimmer and a track lighting ceiling box. (We then installed the track lighting ourselves.) Additionally, per Redmond electrical code, then install arc-fault protection. The work required working in the attics. We supplied the fan/lights (from Seattle Lighting in Bellevue). They charged no dispatch fee and were in the middle on price compared to two other estimates. They were also the only one to include the legally required Redmond electrical inspection. On the workday, they arrived with a team of three in the morning. Their work was professional and neat. We noticed two small problems caused by miscommunications. They cheerfully come back for an hour and fixed the problems. The work passed Redmond inspectional easily. We love the fans and the lights and highly recommend Switch Electric."

"Beeline responded within hours of my contacting Angi and set up an appointment for a couple days later. But an opening popped up so they were able to come the very next day! This was not an emergency, but still â ¦ Stephen was prompt and efficient at replacing a bathroom wall heater. He also replaced a heat lamp bulb, advised on heat options in another bathroom and checked by panel for future possible needs. Great service! And one-third the cost that another company charged last year for the exact same heater replacement in a bedroom."

"I had Mike install a couple of new outlets in my bedroom, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. He had to run new wiring and cut into the drywall in a few spots, but he made such clean cuts and patched everything back so neatly that all I had to do afterward was a little spackling and paint. Everything was done efficiently, looked great, and the price was very reasonable. I’d absolutely hire him again!"

"I highly recommend Alexander and A&E electric. We had a big job done on our house. Rewiring from knob and tube to current standards. We also used this opportunity to add additional outlets and lights. The job was big enough that the job was over two weeks. Alexander worked diligently until the job was done. He was very good at describing pricing and features of the house that might make the job more difficult. He clearly knows everything about electricity and city and county requirements. He also took care to use the least invasive procedures on our 100 year old house. Highly recommended."

"Joseph was very helpful and professional from the initial phone conversation. Starting with diagnosing the problem, arriving on time prepared and equipped with a new transformer and installing it and testing it out to see if there were any other issues with the Ring doorbell. I would definitely recommend Smart Electric to anyone looking for low voltage residential solutions and would also reach out to SE for future low voltage electrical issues."

"After sending out requests to multiple electrician contacting online sites (Angi, etc.), we chose Seatown based on two factors that were important to us: 1) competitive hourly rate; 2) resources. The latter was a paticular critical concern since our elecrical problem incident had resulted in an extension cord being seperated from its plug (minor explosion followed by a spark and smoke) during plug into the wall socket, resulting in the circuit going partial "dead". Consequently, we had concerns that a complex issue may be involved. Seatown initally scheduled us for the next day; however, an electrician became available a couple of hours later and they were able to respond at that time (thank you Brenda). Our problem was resolved after the technician, Gage, check the system, electric panel box, and wall plug-ins on the impacted circuit, and we were back to "full power' within a couple of hours. Gage replaced a 35 year old breaker that was part of the issue. Addiionally, we had him check an outside outlet that would occasionally trip the GFI switch. The outside outlet was part of the GFI system for our three bathrooms. Turns out that due to bathroom remodels a few years ago, that paticulair line was near its maximum load, thus causing the GFI trip if anything above a certain out put was plugged in and operated. It shouldn't present a problem going forward now that we know the load limits. We found the total invoice cost fair and market driven; and Gage not only explained the issue(s) but made sure we actually understood in non-electrical terms. Overall a very pleasent, profession exsperience."

"We had In-House Electrical replace/upgrade our main panel as well as setup a generator hook-up and A/C outlet outside. Adam and Avery were phenomenal - they were thorough, kept in constant communication with me during the project to ensure things were being done as I liked, and left the place looking better than when they showed up. They'll be my first call in the future for any electrical work I need done."

Small jobs welcome

"Above & beyond performance on new electric panel. A problem occurred the next day which caused 3 blackouts within 30 minutes; I called my Client Rep & the office, who promised an electrician that same morning. Well, the electrician - my Client Rep - was at my home within the hour after a 40-minute drive! Yes, he did fix the problem and it has been fine since. Also, the electrician team installed new lights in previously dark rooms (2-story garage, master bedroom, breakfast nook, AND heirloom chandeliers in a two-story ceiling! They even checked the wiring on the chandeliers! They fixed a non-working heat register and replaced a switch on the disposal. Their level of customer service is phenomenal and they have my business for good!: McCarthy Electric has earned my 5-star rating."

"We needed to install a light fixture in our dining room. The Electric Company gave us an estimate over the phone. The cost to install the light fixture was almost the same as the cost of the light fixture itself, which was not inexpensive. Our son-in law installed it in about 20 minutes. It is not the fault of The Electric Company. They charge what they charge. We just weren't will to pay that much."

FAQs for electrical switches, outlets & fixtures install or repair projects in Seattle, WA

Wiring conversions for relocating outlets require upgrading the existing wiring to the correct amperage before installing the new outlet. This step ensures that the circuit safely supports the outlet's power demand. Engaging a professional guarantees that the alterations meet current electrical standards, thereby ensuring a safe and efficient installation overall.

Installing an outlet can be completed in 30 minutes, but professionals charge a minimum labor fee covering one to two hours of work. This fee accounts for travel, setup, and any extra tasks that may be required during the installation process. Bundling additional services with the installation can lead to overall cost savings while upholding stringent safety standards.
