"PRC did an excellent job of installing a new asphalt shingle roof on our home. Our home's roof is unusual with many different angles, pitches and levels. Since we moved into this home 20 years ago we have continually had problems with the roof leaking. We have had the roof completely replaced at least 4 times. PRC is the only company of the 4 that actually created a roof that does not leak. Every other company seemed baffled by the roof's construction, as none were able to stop the leaking, and just gave up (after we had paid them in full). PRC was dedicated to getting our roof water tight and they did. PRC also helped us with restuccoing of exterior walls of the home and rebuilding an exterior balcony which had suffered water damage. Every person I worked with at PRC was professional, courteous and committed to making sure the job was done right, in a timely fashion and that we were happy with the result. "My wife and I purchased a house built in 1978 when we moved to Merritt Island. We knew that the garage had to be repaired because the previous owner had cut the trusses holding up the roof to make a bedroom out of 1/3 of it. I called Brevard county Building department for references. They gave me several. Macik was among them. Some that I contacted also referred me to Jeff Macik. We contacted Macik and was impressed with the knowledge and honesty of Jeff and his son, Joe, who own and run the business. We also decided that the old very poorly constructed closed in “porch” had to go because we had hurricane damage and roof leaks in it. Jeff and Joe were very patient with my wife and I while going through the process to get a major project (complete new bedroom and bath addition along with total garage repair) to contract that was acceptable to all. We did not know how good our decision was to use them until the construction started. They were great. Very concerned about cleanliness, disturbing of our living here while under construction and just making us feel like family with the helpful polite full time help that they employ to do most of the work. Cindy and I have built multiple houses and remodeled some as well. I can say without a doubt, Macik was the best builder we have ever worked with. They were on time, kept to schedule, got us through holidays and medical issues with no problems and were fair and honest. They have some of the best subcontractors because they have vetted them over the past 20 years. I wish them the very best of luck and hope that this letter helps get them additional business that they have earned."

"This man is the worst contractor I've ever hired. The project took over a year to complete and not once did Robert take any responsibility for his poor workmanship. He first of all took 3 months to start the project which is against the law in Florida. He also did not get the required permit as required by law in Florida. I had told him I wanted a permit and he said he was working with an architect to draw up the plans for the permit. He lied and never did so. After the building dept stopped construction I had to pay all the fees because Robert refused to do so despite it being his fault. That started a serious of corrections in order to comply with the inspections and he made me pay for them all. He blamed it on the architect that I had to hire in order to submit the plans to the building dept. Twice Robert would schedule work to be done and both times the day before the work he would hit me up for money saying he needed it to get the job done. That is already having to pay the downpayment and a second installment payment. The money was there but he blew it on unrelated things like his medical treatment he didn't disclose and which causes him to be absent for long periods of time. He also appears to have memory lapses that causes him not to remember things you tell him. His wife handles the communication when he is not on the job. It got to a point where I was telling him what to do on the job. He also hires guys off the street as in my case. He got some **** kind that new a little about masonry and it was horrible. It had to be knocked down and then Robert refused to pay him. The kid came knocking on my door one day threatening me for payment. In Florida, if a contractor doesn't pay, his subcontractors can go after the customer for payment. Need to have contractor sign a waiver so you don't get sued or a lien put on your property. I'm really warning you all. Please stay far away. There are plenty of other reputable contractors out there. Don't risk it."

"Dwight from Cornerstone Construction is the REAL deal! I am probably one of the pickiest people when it comes to contractors. I have never liked a single one, but Dwight is absolutely wonderful. They have remodeled our entire kitchen (removed our whole old kitchen and replaced it with a brand new kitchen including appliances, exhaust, backsplash, etc) - it looks perfect, which I NEVER say. I have no conflict of interest....I am tired of contractors who don't do a good job so when I found Dwight, I was ecstatic. I have used his company for the build out of my medical office and always refer our friends and family to him."
