"Walter and Kevin repaired an upstairs shower that was leaking to the downstairs ceiling. The ceiiling needed to be refinished because of the water stqains that resulted from the leaky shower. The entire job was done in one day. When finished the ceiling looked as if nothing had happened to it. An outstanding job at a reasonable price!!!"

"This is the 2nd time that I used Shawn's services. His skill set really extends far beyond what most handymen offer. The quality of his work is excellent and he approaches each job with an honest appraisal and a strong work ethic. I certainly have no qualms about giving him access to my home when I am not there. He is very much in demand so it isn't easy to schedule time with him but he shows up when he says he will or calls to reschedule if he gets hung up. His rates are fair but not cheap and you get quality work that he will stand by."

"My wife and I had two great meetings with Seth regarding a potential remodel or teardown in North Arlington. Seth is knowledgeable, creative, and energetic. His knowledge and confidence about what was possible, especially in terms of permits and variances on a very small lot, took a lot of anxiety out of the process. He gave us great initial floor plan sketches and cost outlines. Our plans ultimately took a different turn, but I had full confidence in Seth to create a great result."

"The Arnold Schwarznegger of raccoons had mangled the box vent on our roof and had become a very frequent (and very unwelcome) visitor. Anthony came out to have a look the day we contacted him and was able to quickly assess the damage and outline the necessary repairs. Admittedly I was a little surprised at how much this was going to cost me, BUT he also was very honest when I showed him other wet stains on our ceiling that I thought might be due to damage on the roof and told me they were not, and advised how we could deal with them. He could have easily hoodwinked us and padded the needed repairs, but I was impressed by his honesty. We decided to go ahead with the work. He couldn't find the same vent that had been damaged and had to hunt around for an alternative. Even with the difficulty in finding the right vent, and the almost daily thunderstorms, within a week from first contact, the job was complete. I would have never even known they were there except for the fact that the repairs were obvious. Often, when we have had outside repairs done, we find ourselves stuck with the clean up. Not so with Mr. Holden. It is so difficult to find a home improvement contractor who is prompt, competent, and reliable. I'm very happy to have found Mr. Holden, will happily hire him for any future work we need done, and can say that I recommend him without reservation."

"The kitchen was started in January and the first thing that had to be done was completely gutting the kitchen.  Chris then installed new insulation and all of the wiring, and the new walls.  He let me select the cabinets and the tiles for the floor.  He was very helpful with dealing with Lowe's where I purchased my cabinets and my new appliances.   <br /> <br /> Originally the kitchen was the only remodeling I was going to do, but with the quality of his work, I decided to use his service when I needed to replace the windows in my living room.  The original plan was to just replace the windows ( there were three of them) with a bay window, but instead,  I decided to put in the small addition, replace the walls in the living room and dining room and install hardwood floors in them as well. My house is a double-wide modular home that was manufactured in 1975 and the walls are paper thin.  The old stonework on the fireplace had started to deteriorate and Chris replaced that as well.  The addition is great for the grandchildren who like to sit and play my keyboard and have lunch or dinner on their table in there. I also set up my tree and trains at Christmas time in there.  I love the windows, especially the large picture window and the wood sills, which we had made to match the living room floor.   <br /> <br /> Before he left each day, he made sure that everything was cleaned up. He was very attentive to even the smallest of details.  Would I use his service again?  Yes, he would be the first one I would call. <br />   <br /> The photos on his website are from the work he did here.  My kitchen is the nicest kitchen I have ever had and my living-room and dining room turned out much better than I could ever imagine."

"We had no idea of the extend of the damage until Joe began removing windows which revealed extreme damage to our home. Complete removal of the front wall of our home was absoutley necessary. We had to order new windows and doors but the floor also needed repair as well. This project revealed short cuts in the orgianal construction of our home. Every time we opened up part of the wall more damage even to one corner of the house needed new support work as well. All new sideing and trim was required to complete the job correctly.Work was a bit longer than expected but he warned us of the fact due to the nature of water damage and what can result. Neat and tidy job site at the end of the day.Could not have found a better person for the job.In fact he is going to put a new deck on our home very shortly once permits are granted. We chose time and materials which we were pleased.I would highly recommend Grime Construction and definitley use them again."

"We purchased a vacation home in Cambridge MD in August 2012. The home was built in 1918 and was in need of additional insulation and repairs to the crawlspace. We contacted Energy Savers, owned by Steve Flippo, in Easton MD, based on favorable reviews we found on Angie's List. We had Steve come out and perform an initial energy efficiency audit, which identified a number of areas that could be improved to increase energy efficiency and lower our energy bills. My wife and I were very pleased with the work that was carried out by Energy Savers and especially appreciated Steve's willingness to carry out the initial energy efficiency audit on the weekend, when we would be present at the property. Energy Savers was very responsive to all our inquiries and got back to us quickly. They even provided us with a dozen new energy efficient CF light bulbs to cut down on energy costs. Energy Savers, and Steve in particular, were very good in scheduling a time to perform the follow on work we agreed upon (insulation of the crawlspace and attic), despite the challenge of Hurricane Sandy. Communication was excellent. The final invoiced cost was close to the estimate originally provided to us. Using a contractor recommended by Steve (West and Callahan), we completed the foundation work (sealing of the now insulated crawlspace) and were very satisfied with the work this other contractor performed (so, kudos to Steve again for recommending a good, reliable contractor). Steve was very knowledgeable about all things related to energy efficiency and was very friendly, courteous, and professional in his dealings with us. I would highly recommend Energy Savers to anyone interested in saving on energy costs. They will also see to it that the client gets any rebate for which they are qualified, which can be a significant savings <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Secretary, MD

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
