"I had an excellent experience with City Plumbing and Rooter AZ. What started as a mainline leak quickly turned into a full replacement after proper leak detection, and I’m honestly grateful I went with them. From the beginning, they were professional, transparent, and easy to communicate with. They took the time to explain everything clearly so I understood what was going on and what needed to be done. After getting quotes from multiple companies, their pricing was fair and straightforward—no surprises or pressure. Most importantly, they made me feel taken care of throughout the entire process. The work was done efficiently and with great attention to detail. If you’re looking for a trustworthy plumber who stands by their work and treats customers right, I highly recommend them."

"I have had previous problems with this drain, but no one has ever spent so much time on why it keeps happening. I wound up paying more for this serious, but feel it was worth it."

"Best by Farr is best by a longshot! We were having a terrible issue with our 2 ½ year old heat pump – the coils were freezing up and we were suffering in the heat. The company that had originally installed the unit had moved out of town and we were in trouble. We called Best by Farr on the recommendation of the manufacturer of our unit and we were thrilled with the results. The fine folks at Best by Farr did not give up till they found and solved our issues and those issues were obscure and very hard to diagnose. What a fine company. We could not recommended them more highly. We are very fortunate to have them here in Sedona and are so pleased to be able to spread the word. This kind of dedication, integrity, and honesty - displayed by every person we dealt with - is a rare and wonderful thing. If only every company were this good!"

"We called Ron to have him install a new gas line to a new cooktop from a line that was running through our crawlspace.  He was prompt at returning our call, giving us an estimate, and getting the work finished.  Very punctual and respectful.  His cost was reasonable.  We have had no issues with the new gas line at all.  Great experience all around.  We will hire him again in the future if the need arises."

"Initial quote from different plumber was for $10,000. Good thing I got two more quotes. TCR did the entire install for $2,000, saving $8,000. Brian the tech was very knowledgeable and walked me through the process. A+ service!"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Sedona, AZ

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
