"Excellent, professional, and affordable service.  The vendor understood my urgency on getting the garage door fixed ASAP.  He even came on Sunday to replace the old opener with a new one.  He replaced everything: the opener, 2 remote controls, the wireless keypad, the motion sensors, the belt drive, etc.   We had a great service experience.  <br />"

"Overall the experience was very positive. The company was able to make the service call within a couple days. They offered an excellent discount on their website, and the resulting price was reasonable. The serviceman was very professional and personable. There was no attempt to recommend unnecessary services. The garage door opener now performs better than when it was first installed."

"My garage door had been making loud thumping noises when opening or closing for several days. I found a couple screws on the floor and saw that the garage door opener track located on the garage ceiing was no longer connected to the front mounting bracket. I called Rand R and explained the situation. He was in between calls, and even though my location would take him out of his way to his next call, he said he'd be right over. He was there in about 20 minutes. Not only did he reattach the garage door opener more securely than it was originally, but he also checked my second garage door opener to make sure it was securely attached and oiled both garage doors. Very professional, very dependable service. I would definitely use his service again. <br />"

"They came out for the quote, arrived on time and gave honest advice (we were thinking of combining the 2 doors into one, but after they checked the area, recommended against it for structural reasons). They scheduled us with-in the time frame we requested and were prompt, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves when done, taking away the old doors and old opener as well. Additional info: 11 months into their 1 year warranty, one of the garage door tracks started sparking when opening/closing it. They promptly answered our email and sent a workman to check it out. He admitted they've never seen this problem before (he had checked with some more experienced colleagues who also never heard of it happening). He checked out everything he could think of and suggested having the wiring checked out. We were able to have that done the same night and all was fine there. The next morning, Genson workmen came out again (fortunately the electrician was also here) and they worked together to discover the problem. Over the 11 months, one of the lag bolts holding up the brackets for the opener, from normal vibrations, had clipped a power line for the lights. There was no way to know the power line was there at installation as it was 2"+ up from the end of the joist, behind the sheetrock ceiling. Genson took responsibility and covered the repair. Very professional, apologized for having to open up the ceiling and the mess that was made in doing so, but they were very careful when removing the sheetrock so that they were able to reuse the same pieces when they were all done. They cleaned up and everything works fine again. Definitely recommend this company to any who need these services!"

"Quality work. Competitively priced. We needed an architect for a basement project and after getting a few quotes from other companies, we chose Max Parangi Architects - best in care and price. They delivered the plans promptly, had a good understanding of the building inspection process and even recommended local contractors. If you are looking for an architect firm for your home improvement project (big or small), you definitely want to call Max Parangi Architects."

FAQs for garage door installation and replacement projects in Seneca Falls, NY

Yes, you can replace just one panel if your door is sectional and the damaged panel is available. Most modern residential garage doors have four to six horizontal panels that can be individually replaced. However, finding an exact match becomes challenging for older doors or discontinued styles. For doors over 15 to 20 years old or with multiple damaged panels, a complete door replacement might be more practical and visually consistent.

Minor dents or cosmetic damage can often be repaired without replacing the entire panel, potentially saving you money. However, if the damage affects the door's operation, security, or structural integrity, replacement is often a better investment.

For extensive damage to multiple panels or older doors where matching is difficult, full door replacement might be more economical in the long run than multiple individual panel replacements.

Your garage door panel might be repairable if the damage is superficial and doesn't affect functionality. Small dents in aluminum panels, minor scratches, or cosmetic issues often don't require full replacement. However, replacement is often necessary if the panel is warped, has large holes, shows extensive rust, or affects how the door operates. A professional garage door technician can evaluate the damage and recommend whether repair or replacement offers the best value and durability.
