"I hired H&H plumbing to install a new kitchen sink and faucet as well as e bathroom faucets. They did an excellent job. Alex came out to give me an estimate he also measured my sink to make sure I purched the right size. Bryan did the actual installing of everything. He arrived on time he was courteous and friendly and did an excellent job installing everything in a timely manner. I would absolutely recommend H&H plumbing I will use them for my future needs."

"We dealt directly with Steve. He 100% knows what he's doing. The city hires him for all kinds of things. We checked out quite a few competitors for water softener prices. Really no comparison. We ended up buying a water softener on Craig's List and then purchased the whole house filtration. Steve exceeded our expectations on the installation. YES I would use him again. Very knowledgable and competitive pricing."

"Florida Leak Detectors’ Technician, Manny, actually arrived about an hour before the appointment time which was not a problem for me. I was glad that he was able to fit me into his schedule on such short notice. He thoroughly explained how he would pressurize each plumbing line during his testing process. After he performed those diagnostic pressure tests, he donned his scuba gear and inspected every inch of the surface of the pool and the spa as well as the underwater light. It turned out that we not only had more than one leak in the spa jet lines but there was also a leak in the spa drain. Manny did a great job of explaining how to monitor the pool to confirm that the leaking had been fixed. He gave me his card and assured me that if I was not satisfied, I could call him back. But he stated with professional confidence that he did not think that would be necessary. The price was reasonable for the detailed work he performed. I highly recommend Florida Leak Detectors."

"I've used their service three times. The service they provide can't be beat. The first time I used them was after hurricane Irma when my pump head (I think that's what it was called) stopped working and the house started to flood. The septic water was not being sucked out the septic tank into the drain field causing sewage/water to build up and back up into our house. They came out the same day and figured out the problem and since the part I needed would not be available until the next day (Saturday) they pumped out the the septic tank given us the ability to use our water without it flooding for the night since by pumping out the septic tank it would have more space available to store waste. The next day they came out and installed a new pump. Everything worked perfectly thereafter. The second time they came out was because our water was backing up again which was about a year later. We were concerned since we just had the pump fixed. They came out the same day to access the problem; come to find out the switch to the pump had been accidently knocked into the off possition - probably by the lawn guys we hired. So he flipped back the switch and it started pumping and everything was well. We did feel a little silly. But everytime they respond to our calls we learn something new about having a septic tank. (By the way we are first time home buyers.) The next time they came out we had another leak which we later found out had nothing to do with the septic tank and the plumber who came out quickly isolated the problem. This time it was due to a leak in our shower from someone who had recently remolded our bathroom. They didn't even charge us the third time because they never had to dig which was a relief! So this time we got insurance involved and got our bathroom repaired, we needed a new shower pan liner, and now we are hopefully done with leaks. Ooh the joys of buying a new/old house. I am very grateful for Rooter One they are the best!!! I will always hire them for my plumbing needs and septic pump out. Love Love ❤️ their team."

"Mr. Marotta arrived at the time scheduled.  He replaced all the items, however was unable to replace the tub drain because of its age.  There was a possibility of permanent tub damage and I agreed to not have him do the work.  He then replace an outdoor water faucet.  I felt all the work was professionally done and reasonably priced.

"I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with Total Home Roofing. In January I found out that my Wind Storm coverage would be dropped unless I installed a new flat roof on my back porch by April 1. I researched on Angie’s List, Yelp, etc. and found several companies that were highly recommended, including Total Home Roofing. I ended up getting a few quotes that were similar to the quote I received from Total Home, but the reason I chose them was their professionalism. Several of these ‘highly recommended’ roofers never returned phone calls or emails, another cancelled his first appointment then was a no show for a second, and yet another never called back with an estimate, despite a very lengthy and professional initial phone call. Total Home Roofing, on the other hand, was incredibly professional from the start. They immediately returned texts and phone calls, and all of their in-person appointments were scheduled for specific times, not “I’ll be there sometime between 1 PM and 5 PM.” They were always on time and called a few hours in advance to confirm appointments. It was this professionalism that tilted my decision in their favor, and boy did it pay off. My roof was scheduled to be installed on March 30, but Florida began shutting down non-essential services due to Covid-19 the week of March 23. My anxiety about meeting the April 1 deadline shot through the roof. But the team at Total Home Roofing went out of their way to help me with this time crunch. They sent out extra workers to speed up the install and worked diligently with my local inspectors to make sure they signed off on each day’s work so they could proceed to the next step. In the end Total Home met these deadlines, the inspectors came out and approved on time, and my Wind Storm policy was renewed. I had a great experience with Total Home Roofing, from my first phone call to the final interactions with local inspectors, all while Florida was under incredible stress from the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak. Craig, Carlos, Gibrand and all the ladies in the office (sorry, I forgot to get their names) went above and beyond. They went out of their way to be kind, helpful and professional. I can’t thank them enough and highly recommend them."

"Robert and the entire restorative pros company were wonderful. We had a water leak underneath our sink that resulted in water damage in our kitchen. They were quick with response time, excellent in communication and answered all of my many questions, and the work was great. On top of that they are the most friendly and respectful customer service I’ve seen!"

FAQs for sump pump or interior foundation drains installation projects in Sharpes, FL

Most residential pumps draw approximately 1,300 to 2,900 watts when they first start, then settle at roughly 800 to 1,050 watts during normal operation. The exact number depends on the motor’s horsepower and how often the float switch tells the pump to run. Even at the high end, the electricity cost is minor compared with the expense of cleaning up a flooded basement.

Grab a ruler and an empty 18‑inch‑wide pit. During a steady rain, time how much the water rises in one minute. Multiply that depth (in inches) by 60 to calculate gallons per hour, then add 50% for safety. If the result tops 2,100 gallons per hour—about 35 gallons a minute—you’ll need a 3/4‑horsepower unit. Anything lower, and a 1/3- or 1/2-horsepower pump should do the trick.

Loud rattling, constant cycling, or shuddering vibrations are the pump’s way of telling you it’s on its last legs. Musty smells, higher electric bills, and visible rust are other red flags. If the unit is 10 years old or older and exhibits any of these symptoms, replace it before the next heavy rain turns your basement into a wading pool.

You don’t have to hire a licensed plumber, but you should still bring in someone who installs sump pumps for a living—whether that’s a plumber, basement‑waterproofing specialist, or experienced handyman. They know the local codes, can wire the pump safely, and will test the system before they leave. Skipping professional help might void the warranty and could leave you with a pump that fails when you need it most.

Not every basement needs a pump, but if your home sits in a floodplain, has a high water table, or has ever taken on water during a storm, a sump pump is inexpensive insurance. For basements that only struggle with condensation or the occasional damp spot, sealing cracks and improving drainage may be all that is needed.
