"The pros were actually early, very friendly, explained all the garage door opener options including function, warranty and cost. They also noted that our garage door spring was completely worn out, and replaced that as well."

"Our garage door tore itself apart on the back tailgate of our van which came partway open inside the garage. I called Cody in the morning about 9 am and he was there with a replacement by 3:30 in the afternoon. The removal of the old door and install of a new better quality door was done in less than 2 hours. Cody and his helper were courteous and professional and I would not hesitate to call them again."
Monsoon weather winds bent this door. Godstone Garage Door Service was there to assist and replace the door ASAP for the customer.

"It went extremely well. The technician from Illinois Garage Repair was very professional and did an excellent job in replacing the garage door opener. He even went "beyond the call of duty" by programming all of my remote controls."

FAQs for garage door opener repair or adjustment projects in Sierra Vista, AZ

Garage door costs range somewhat broadly, depending on the type you choose. However, you’ll also need to factor in labor costs, which vary from state to state and between pros.

A chain driven operator costs between $150 - $250. For a belt driven operator it is usually $160 - $450. A screw-driven operator is between $250-$500.

To keep garage door opener repair costs down, you should check that the whole apparatus is working normally on a regular basis. This means making sure that the tracks of your door are greased and fully operational, and that the door itself is in good condition.

Installing a new garage door opener runs from $250 to $500 at least. If your repair costs are close in cost to that range or if your garage door is 10 to 15 years old, you should probably replace it instead of repair.

However, it’s a better idea to fix your garage door opener if it’s less than eight years old or if repair costs are less than replacing.

Garage door openers usually last between 10 and 15 years. However, several factors contribute to how long your garage door opener can last. If you schedule regular inspections and practice proper care, you can maximize your garage door opener’s lifespan, saving money in the long run. As a general rule, practice the same care for your garage door opener as you would the door itself.

These tell-tale signs indicate your garage door is going bad, including:

  • Not closing or opening at all

  • The door reversing when you try to open and/or close it

  • Inconsistent opening and closing; more noise than usual (grinding, scraping, or banging)

  • Sticking or stalling when you try to open or close it

If you experience one or more of these signs, it’s time to call a professional garage door repair service.
