"The owner of the company was there quite often, both to see how the work was going and to do some of the work himself (he spent a couple of days completely replumbing the pump house, which turned out fantastic and much easier to work with and around), and we enjoyed interacting with him. He was very patient with us (I am quite curious and ask a _lot_ of questions) and had a great sense of humor (not required for this work, but we very much enjoyed it). In particular he listened closely to what we wanted to do, and would often make a suggestion on how it could be done better - we went with his suggestions about 3/4 of the time (because they were better than our ideas). The cost was very competitive (we had one other bid that was about 40-50% higher). Both he and his crew were highly respectful of us, and we really enjoyed interacting with all three crew members who worked on our pool. They were very friendly and patiently answered all our questions."

"SBC did a fantastic job building me a new deck and re-paving the patio area underneath. Justin was great in coming out to measure the area and discuss options for both the deck and the patio. Steve's teams did a wonderful job with the work itself. Everything was done exactly as stated and the end product was exactly what I had hoped it would be. The reason for this not being a 5 start review is two-fold. First, all of the work was scheduled at the last minute, with less than 24 hours notice of when the teams would be out to deliver materials or do the work. Luckily this didn't end up being an issue, but it could be difficult if you're trying to schedule explicitly around the project. Second is the difficulty in getting the final piece of work completed, for installing an exterior electric outlet. It took an extra month after the completion of all other work to get that done. If electrical work is required, I'd recommend contracting that externally to SBC."
