"Dustin C. @ DaBella Boise helped us choose the right windows for our application and personally monitored progress from order to completion. The finished product looks great, but the best part is instantly seeing and feeling the difference between modern tech vs. 40y old aluminum framed windows. No more drafts or condensation! Thanks DaBella!"

"We were told we needed to have some bricks on our chimney replaced from a couple other masonry folks. I called Chris to get a quote for the work. When he arrived he explained why that would be a waste of money because the design of the chimney was the problem. Instead Chris suggested we do a few things to extend the life of our chimney for another 5-10 years (with detailed instructions so we could do the work) and replace the full chimney after that with a design that fits or Northwest climate. We will definitely be calling Chris for any work in the future!"

"We hired Northwest Complete Contracting to do a complete repainting of our 3-story home. They weren't the cheapest bid we received, but we liked that they could handle painting + dry rot repairs in house. I'm glad we went with them. They are extremely responsive via email, which was our primary form of communication throughout, and were professional throughout the process. Their crew treated our property well, and, importantly, our neighbors' for those times when they had to head next door to support a ladder. The work was high quality, the communications were excellent, and they didn't hesitate to come back and clean up just a couple small issues once the project was over. Would recommend them any day!"

"The challenge with this situation was that the Angie's List consultation offer for J&R Landscape failed to include that they only serve a certain area on the Eastside. After I bought the offer and was in touch with J&R Landscape's owner, Ryan, he noted the error and said it would be difficult for them to travel all the way to my neighborhood in Seattle. And yet -- they did! Ryan said "a deal is a deal" and they would honor what Angie's List had offered. Ryan and Andrea W. were first-class professional in everything. Andrea's advice and suggestions for how to improve my landscape, and what rockery design would be best for my location -- it was perfect. I have not yet done the rockery in the backyard, but I took to heart all her suggestions for the front yard, and it looks so much better. I would hire J&R Landscape in a heartbeat -- especially if I lived on the Eastside."

"My husband and I are extremely happy with the finished product. Todd and his crew cleaned up every day. They were perfectionists in their installation taking the time that was necessary to do the job correctly. They were so quiet that there were times you did not even know they were in the house. The price was exactly the same as the bid. Todd is a talented craftsman who cares about the final product and respects the needs and wishes of the people who engage his services. We would strongly encourage others to use his services."

"The tile looks amazing, and Dave did a great job.  He installed glass mosaic tile on all walls from the countertops to the bottom of our cabinets. He squeezed us in to get it done while we were off for Thanksgiving. Although he never specified a start time we were a bit disappointed he didn't show up to start the job until 3pm and then only worked for 2 hours, which meant he had to come back and finish the job the next day. All in all we were very happy with the completed job. <br />"

"It was awesome. We originally wanted a stacked block wall as we thought true rock would be cost prohibitive. Dale gave us a bid for both and the true rock was slightly cheaper. His stacked wall bid was competitive with others, but his true stone wall is gorgeous. Extremely satisfied and we are looking for other opportunities to again hire Dale."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Silverdale, WA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
