"Alex came on time, quickly set to work, called me in to discuss what he found when he peeled off the old epoxy--the original refinisher had not done a thorough job, which had needed the original tile regrouted prior to applying the epoxy, which caused the cracking. He had to add some additional cost to the original expense to fix the grout, which he apologized for. He still finished on time, and the shower looks amazing. He supplied with with an instruction sheet on care of the new finish, which was not provided with the original job. He did a great job, was very courteous, did a through cleanup after finishing. I was very glad to have had him recommended to me."

"We have been wanting to add a bathroom and reconnect a separated room for some time. We were very weary about hiring a contractor due to horror story's we have heard from friends. We did out interviews and ended up going with Pearl Remodeling. Our project manager Gal and his project supervisor Ofir were amazing. They took the time to do proper permits and research with LAUSD. Set Proper expectations. Performed better than expected in terms of time frame and quality of work. I would use them again and am already consulting with them about some other more minor projects at the moment. Gal is super communicative. I can always get ahold of him, and he does not make us feel bad for calling and asking what may be silly questions. If extra work was needed upon discovery he did not make a big deal about it. We felt his main goal was our happiness. There was one time we had a small issue where my neighbors sprinkler plumbing was ran over by a truck. There was no proof it was from the workers but Gal immediately fixed the issue on the same day it came up with no questions asked. This crew is top notch and I would recommend them to family and friends. They helped us put in an amazing steam shower in a nice very large modern bathroom. It was simply a closet before. It required drilling into a concrete foundation to add plumbing and the fixtures I got would have intimidated most other contractors. We installed a Kohler DTV + Showering system with touch panel and multiple outlets with speakers and special lighting and steam. It is by far the most high tech shower on the block. We also reconnected a bedroom with in ceiling speakers and added 3 windows and a sliding door as well as a barn door thru out for ergonomic entry. We also had out laundry room re designed for more space and easier access. Their permit guy Campbell seemed to know the inner working of LA county real well and what was code and so on. Inspections were a breeze. They made sure someone was here when the inspectors came so we were almost completely hands off. They never pushed me. Allowed me time to make decisions and order the finishing I want even if it meant pushing out the project a bit. I can't say enough how great and professional this crew is... If you need to do a remodel seriously consider Pearl Remodeling. You will not be let down."

"The project manager, Tom Cohen, was so helpful from our first meeting. He was knowledgeable about the windows and explained the differences so I could make the best choice for the money I had to spend. The windows were replaced and I'm happy with my beautiful new sliding door. The work was done quickly and my home was left in great condition. I had no clean up to do after the workers finished. Tom helped me process all the paperwork and arranged for financing , also very helpful. I would use this company again and I would ask to work with Tom Cohen. I trust him to help with future projects."

"They basically demolished the whole bathroom, hauled it all away right away, which is important as we have some not-so-friendly neighbors in my neighborhood (!) they put in new plumbing as the plumbing was to my eyes rotten, but they confirmed that it wouldnt last more than a few years, so I just told them to change it.  They put in a new shower, new cabinets, with amazing caesar stone top, the finished product is flawless.  I actually had them put a heated floor so now when the floor is cold I can heat it up! best of all, they finished the whole job in 1 week, started on a Sunday and finished on Friday.  If you look at the pictures, how horrible it looked when it was all gutted, the finished product is all the more amazing.

"These guys really go the extra mile. They did things that they really didn't have to do but it made life easier for me. Very responsive and listened to what I wanted and tried to make it work. They will work with you to meet what you want. They even took apart a desk for me as I wanted it in a different room - and then put it back together in the other room! They knew I could have done that myself, but they wanted to leave a good clean job. Willing to bring me samples for my approval, Quality was excellent, and the people they brought over knew what they were doing, from the electricians to painters. Installed two chandeliers and hung them very professionally. I have two more bathrooms to retrofit later and these guys will be quoting that job. Oh, and they also refinished my front door and two wood floors and they look great. I am also very pleased with the way the carpet was installed. And after, they are around to take care of the touch ups that are needed, and were very willing to do things over if they didn't turn out. Very prompt and responsive. My experience is that they will work with you until you are satisfied."

7/13/15:  I have worked out an arrangement with the company and at this point harbor no ill will towards them.

While we had multiple issues with ESI (not showing when scheduled, workers drinking alcohol on the job, substandard work which had to be redone), when the remodel was completed we thought we had a pretty nice looking kitchen.  Then, as months passed, we started noticing a lot of grease spots accumulating on the cabinet above the microwave.  When we hired another contractor for a bathroom remodel, we asked him to take a look at this cabinet issue.  He found that the ventilation kit had not been attached to the microwave nor to the air ducting of the house so the grease had no where to go.  Additionally, our contractor found the following issues from the ESI remodel:

*romax sticking out of the wall going directly into the bottom of a cabinet into a non-gain box

*electrical socket behind dishwasher was non GFI protected and had no cover plate so exposed to water

*4 GFI's, way to many for our kitchen area, were tied into one line.

Bottom line:  our contractor said the work had created a major safety issue which could result in a fire or electrocution.
