"Called Eric, he called back within a couple of hours. Came over to my house that evening with a new hot water heater per my requested specs.. Got it installed in about 2 hours. He also rerouted my gas pipes to the new hot water heater to meet code. He also explained what he was doing and answered all my questions. I will call Gans Plumbing for any future plumbing needs."

"The company sent Joe Wambach out same day as I called for a/c service on a high demand day. Joe arrived on time and was one of the most pleasant HVAC people I've ever worked with, and we've worked with a few in recent years. He went right to work assessing the problems and doing the maintenance work on our equipment. He is a diligent worker, courteous, professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. He's a great representative for their company and I would hope they appreciate the quality of employee they have in Joe. I did not get other quotes on the a/c unit so I can't comment on price of unit, but it seemed reasonable with everything else that was done. The quote for replacing the air handler coils in attic seemed excessive to me at $2500 but I had no comps; we opted to use original coils."

"Don did an excellent job with my project. He was very knowledgeable and thorough with the job. I decided to install a reverse osmosis filter while having the counters replaced. Don suggested installing them in the basement since I had available space directly below the kitchen. That saved me ALL the space under my kitchen sink. He also took the time to explain to me different things he was doing as he completed the job. I really appreciate when the tradesmen do that, because it helps me to learn for future reference."

"THE REPAIR TECHNICIANS WERE KNOWLEDGEABLE, THOROUGH AND SINCERE. THEY SHOWED US ALL OF THE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE AND EXPLAINED THE REPAIRS. THEY CHECKED FOR RELATED DAMAGE TYPICAL FOR THE MAKE AND MODEL OF CAR, BUT DID NOT FEEL ADDITIONAL REPAIRS WERE NEEDED. NOT ONLY WILL WE DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN, THEY MAY BE THE LAST SHOP WE USE WHILE THEY REMAIN IN BUSINESS."

"We had water backing up into our basement. We called Jon and he immediately triaged the situation over the phone and said he’d try to fit me in for a same day appointment due to the urgency of the situation. He called about 15 minutes prior to arriving at our home and immediately got to work. Sure enough, our sump pump pipe that leads to main sewer was frozen and our sump pump needed to be replaced. Kon was very knowledgeable and extremely personable; felt like I’ve known him for years. I also discussed future projects with him, he definitely made my day."

"Very happy with the work.  Called at 8:30 AM and he arrived to do the work at 11:00 AM the same day.  We had one drain in the kitchen sink that was completely blocked and I had been unable to open it myself using a snake.  He came and opened the drain.  While he was here we asked him to snake two other drains that were running slow.  He was happy to do that and got the job done quickly and well. <br />"

"After thirty-some years in our home and never having to call a plumber, suddenly we have needed a plumber 3 different times. Again Angie's List saved the day. We picked the closest plumber with good reviews. The first instance was when we returned home from Florida in February and found our furnace had failed. One pipe had burst, so we called Castleman's. Justin replaced the burst pipe, turned the water back on, found 6 more pipes burst, and replaced them. All this was done very quickly, very efficiently, with excellent workmanship He came out again when we found another leak. Again, he came out promptly and fixed it quickly. A few weeks later we had another small leak. He came and replaced a piece of pipe and a valve. With Castleman you get quality, efficiency, fair prices and very professional courteous service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Slinger, WI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
