"Hayden and Mark F did a great job! I am pleased with their work! My driveway is now level again as are my sidewalk and patio. They had large voids underneath and now feel stable and look great!"

"For my project, Gino and his employees built a new concrete driveway, sidewalks, and steps; applied an overlay for my front stoop; and built a Versa-Lok retaining wall. Gino and his employees communicated very respectfully to my husband, me, and neighbors. Their work was very conscientious. I think that their work looks very, very nice."

"Our floor has been slanted since we moved into our home. We contacted Aquaguard for an estimate, and they walked us through exactly what they wanted to do to stabilize our floor. We went with them because of the walk through of the c-channel they installed during the estimate process. Everything went well. Our floor is raised and stabilized. It is not perfectly level, but we just did not want to end up in our basement. The guys that came were great, and we would hire them again."

"The salesperson David was very honest and had no interest in upselling. He strongly advised against any interior drains for my basement, and he instead recommended an exterior drain called HydroBlox for my backyard. The estimate for the HydroBlox was $3,400. The installation occurred a few weeks later. Three employees used a machine to dig a trench in my backyard, and then because of utility lines, they hand-dug another trench in my side yard. They installed the pieces of HydroBlox and covered them with dirt. I expect the HydroBlox to properly drain the water from my yard, but if they do not, then I will update my review in the future."

"Our home was built in 2014, and within 3 years, the stone-clad chimney was pulling away from the main wall of the house. The concrete slab under the chimney chase was too small to support the weight of the chimney. The thought of removing the stone, rebuilding the chimney chase and repouring the slab foundation was a bit overwhelming. We did some research on helical piers, and thankfully came across Total Foundation Solutions. Brian was extremely knowledgeable, professional and easy to communicate with. The work they did was amazing. I would give this company the highest rating, and would hire them again, if necessary."

"Mr. Garner and his helper showed up on time. They supported the existing awning, removed the old deck and proceeded to built the new deck with 3 steps. They rounded off all the sharp edges which gives a very professional look. They then reconnected the existing awning. They job was done within the stated 2 days time frame. My mother said they were very nice and courteous to her and what she wanted the deck to look like. <br /> She and I are very satisfied with the work they did, all the neighbors are jealous of her new deck. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"In general, we felt that they did a good job in most respects. Our only problem with the finished job is that we had asked them to match or at least approximate the tan color of the driveway sections that were not being replaced, which are also similar in color to our neighbors' sidewalks and driveways.  Unfortunately, the finished job is very light gray, almost white. The new concrete looks starkly different from the sections they did not replace. I found out later from an architect friend who had similar work done by another contractor that it is common to select the desired color from a color chart. The contractor can then add the appropriate coloring agent to the mix before the job is poured. I'm just sorry that we didn't know that before hiring Morning Star."

"I would like to thank Frank Taylor and his crew for replacing my 3 car garage floor with a beautiful, flawless concrete floor. Prior to Frank Taylor i had a local concrete contractor "Ugo and Sons Custom Concrete" from Clinton PA. replace my original cracked garage floor which they did a terrible job and should be ashamed of their work. I had to call the local police to remove them from my property as they would not leave after i asked them to get off of my property. Frank and his crew came in and removed the botched job and put in a flawless, beautiful 3 car garage floor. Thanks again to Frank Taylor for the great job !"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Slippery Rock, PA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
